Just about to purchase a Penske rear shock for my zx14 just wanted a bit of feedback about 8983 has anyone had any probs with them ? Pros n cons or is there another shock I should get?and has anyone got a Penske through hordracing? Cheers and thanks for everyones time I was thinking of getting a Ohlins but I can get the Penske in Australia fully setup nearly half the price.

Race tech makes a quality affordable product also. I was very happy with their line.

2015 30th Anniversary Edition 14R #250-> Brock's CT Ceramic Coated, Ivan's ECU Flash V2 & Map, Block off plates, HM Strain gauge quickshifter, GPR Damper, Spiegler lines, Muzzy's Sliders, Pazzo levers, Rizoma Next Fluid Tanks, DDM Ultra 5500K HID's Low & Hi, DB Windscreen, Cox Radiator guard, gold titanium bolts... too many to list at this point

I've the Penske on both my track bike and my previous SV1000S, they are a VERY good piece of equipment. In the racing circles along with Ohlins and the growing popularity of Elka, it is one of the preferred shocks.

Aside from the price point which is less than Ohlins and about the same as Elka, the performance is on par for us mere mortals.

However one of the best features and on of the primary reasons why I chose Penske is that it can be rebuilt for any bike at the fraction of the cost of purchasing a new unit.

I'm currently having my triple clicker rebuilt from a SV to a ZX14 application
