My First Trip to Loring
09/01/14 8:29 AM

My sons and i arrived at Loring, we immediately start cruising the pits. In search of fellow forum members to finally meet and to thank them for all the advice they've given me to this point. It didn't take long and before too long we were parked next to them had unloaded the bike set up the tent and were talking like old friends.
We were able to get the 125 / 150 licenseing passes out of the way that evening. Leaving only the 175 remaining for the next morning.
Next morning I did my run leaving my son to do his. He was skeptical that my 2014 burnt orange and black with ABS would break 200.
So off he goes on his run. He didn't leave particular hard but got in it from third to sixth. We hear his mile time of 195 over the loud speaker, and my other son and I were ecstatic then we hear the time for the mile and a half was 201, and we go wild. But the people running the event were less then pleased. When he returned he was spoken to by the officials threatening hm they might not let him run. Then they let it stay as his qualifying run. A qualifying run of 201, WOW!!! Well that answers the question if the bike would hit 200.
Between the 2 of us The bike did 13 runs over 200. With my best being 204 in the mile and 207.7 for the mile and half. That's with the mistake of shifting into 6 TWICE, oops. What only 6 gears. Alan's best time was 201 in the mile and 208.1 for the mile and half. To say we both walked away smiling would be an understatement. We both had our own little record. Yes, we both hate to loose!!!
So my sincere thanks go out to Shane, Rachael, Scott, Sebastian, Ralphie and CBlast for providing me with sound advice to be able to achieve this monumental goal.
Thank you All.

Best of all we had loads of FUN doing it. When I first got the bike I was a little concerned because it only produced 180HP. But I love everything else about the bike, smooth and pretty fast but did look doing it.
I could never leave well enough alone so I began by replacing the stock exhaust with a Brock CT. I also know that the computer needed to be worked because I love the sound of the bike when its screaming. So the redline needed to be increased. Since I don't constantly mess with the bike once it's mapped. I decided to go with Sebastian/Cblast to work his magic. After getting it back the bike felt significantly stronger, It now produced 195HP.
The decision was made to run Loring
The bike served me well remaining reliable, stable and FAST.
It actually seemed cool calm and collected at those speeds.
The most difficult part was getting my butt off the seat and into a good aero position.
Once again a Big round of applause go out to Shane, Rachael, Scott, Ralphie and Cblast.
I guess i should thanks Kawasaki for producing one heck of a bike.
