Wow that has to suck. Funny whenever I clean my chain I get this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach thinking of how bad that would hurt. I will use even more caution after reading this.

I always knew that the warning most stands come with saying " DO NOT START YOUR MOTORCYCLE WHILE ON THE STANDS" had a meaning.

Uggggghhhhhh! Oh geeze, I heard about that and it looks like maybe this didn't but he knows now.

What is most shocking is that some of the people who posted after him made light of it. I mean - this is a real guy showing real pictures.

and the guy didn't seem to feel it was all that serious. I can tell those guys have to be a bunch of punks.

Glad for him he only lost the ends of his fingers but in the back of my mind, I have this feeling he might be just a little too into risk taking. Who cuts their finger tips off and takes a few pics immediately after?? I think he may well lose more than his fingers before long.

Personally, I spin the wheel backward (away from the sprocket) and I only wipe a few inches of the chain at a time on the bottom run. It takes 5 minutes to do a quick cleaning.

I am with you Rook. That guy that posted the dumb farker comment is a jackass. I wonder if he will find it as funny when he lays his bike down. Personally I would not have been taking pictures of my hand I would have been down on the ground crying like Nancy Kerrigan "why me?"
