Sold my Z1000 and picked up an 08 zx14 about a month ago. Too bad it looks like the weather
has just about ended my riding for the year.....maybe. I had to lower it (I'm short!) and cut the
cans in half and build new baffles with packing (wasn't loud enough).I will pick up a decent exhaust over
the winter.

Sweet Ride! Saw that bike on Kijiji, and contemplating pulling the trigger myself and throwing a turbo on it.
I love the colour scheme.
Anyways, I ride with a good bunch of guys just a stones throw from you (Major Mack and Markham Road) Next year, hook up with us and see if you like to ride with us.
If your bike is stock and you are interested in unleashing your bottom end, let me know - I can hook u up with a nice flash (best bang for your buck) with a friend of mine.

Happy riding!

I have just been using this for going to work and a couple rides around Caledon, only when it's sunny out.
Got caught in the rain on my last bike and it took forever to clean. I ride when I can, but my other hobby takes the bulk of my money and time (see pic in sig). I am down in Pennsilvania about 6-7 times a summer racing. When not racing,
I am building or fixing that bucket of bolts.
zx14beast, to flash I need a pcIII or something like that? The ls motor in my buggy, I can have the stock pcm flashed,
can't do this with the stock ecm on the zx can I?
Saw a nice exhaust on kijjiji, after market header and cans, yours?

Yep, the header and slips are mine... I sold the slips on EBAY, and I think the Header is up there right now. It's for the "R" though, so not sure it would work for you.
As far as your flash goes - Romans does it, and yes it is flashed directly into your ecu. Do you know if your bike has the flies in or out?
If they are in you will feel a heck of a difference in the bottom end - the way the bike should have been from factory......
It also removes the top speed limiter, advances the timing and as stated above - opens your flies sooner. In short it's a beautiful thing.
That buggy looks hella fun... Don't think my pockets are deep enough for a hobby like that though.... he he
I guess I'll have to settle for my green fire breathing dragon...

I will look at getting a flash over the winter. Depends on what exhaust I go with. Don't think the flies are out.
I will maybe get a little more used to this bike before I go with upping any hp. At 47 my reflexes are not as sharp as they used to be and like I said, most (all winter) of my time and money are used up on the buggy. I built it from the ground up and it takes a bunch of time to maintain and repair between races. And yes, it is a blast to drive...roll over...fix...and drive!
