Seems like KHI has really lost the way when it comes to paint schemes these days.....I look at them and think to myself, "what were they thinking!" Looks are subjective but to my eye, the schemes just seem to get uglier and uglier with each passing year. In my humble opinion, this is a machine that responds best to simple paint jobs. I really liked the original '06 selections with the flat black grills and lowers, simple. Classic example: '08 Atomic Silver. That is a good looking machine in my opinion, simple, clean and elegant...perfect for the 14. I would like to see one done in solid flat spark black paint without the metallic persimmon or whatever that red stuff was called. Just the flat black..... that would look sinister prowling the highways. I'd also like to see one done in a Champagne Silver and go back to the '06 layout with the flat black grills and lowers with either a Kandy Orange or Kandy Yellow. There would be something to suit everyone's tastes then. Maybe someone could Photshop some of this together for us. Kawasaki are you listening, stop the ugly paint jobs.

Not so classic! Ditch the persimmon red paint on frame and lowers then can the red wheels, red grill highlights and cheesy flames and shoot the metallic flat spark black all over (i.e. wheels included) and this would be the meanest looking 14 of all times!

That Haya is one of the nicest paint jobs I've seen for OEM...

didn't help him beat Jon Jon though on the faster color! LOL

my black bike can kick that red bikes azz ..

and it carring twice the mass and i got me mirrors still on it

and i just lost out on an 08 orange aand black booza for 7k

I agree with you kruz in that kawi seems to do really nasty things to the paint scheme with the added flames graphics, for example... I think for example the special edition white color would have looked so much nicer just a plain white without the flames:

Although, this color has grown on me somehow...

and I just love the green... oh green...

I have the diablo black 2007, and as much as I love that paint, if someone local wanted to swap with the 09 green for say $500, I would be willing to do it.

I have the 07 white limited and love the colors. But think i'll probably have the flame stickers removed and same color air brushed flames done to throw a lil bit of change.

Same as Faz, '07 Diablo Black here, however, I would not change it for any other color

I was wanting to paint mine the candy green until they came out as a factory color. Now I don't know what color I want. Still LOVE the green.

I could have bought any of the K6,K7 and K8 zx14 color options.
To each their own! Wouldn't pick different if I had to do it again.

Putting as much in aftermarket parts and upgrades as I paid for the 14
is what rocks my boat.

Colors and looks are for the Harley crowd IMHO

I like all 14s as much.

The one thing you can do to improve the looks of any 14 is to ditch those giant azz stock exhaust cans

What KHI needs to offer as a color option is invisible. Would be even better on a switch. I'd take that for sure! ;)

I haven't seen a 14 I didn't like... But I do love my Burnt Orange - I'll admit that I thought it might be a little "young" for me - but once I stood next to it I couldn't say no.

I'm still waiting for my Race Railz

I can't stand the look of the offset coloured grills and lowers. It wasn't until they started making them uniform (I have the midnight sapphire blue or whatever it is called) that I even considered the 14 'pretty'. Same with my old Ninja 650, everywhere else but Canada they insisted on ugly 2 tone schemes and a extremely ugly colour for the frame.
