ZX14 Rear stand?
08/23/11 7:33 PM

Hello all. I just got an 06 zx14 with 5000 miles on it a few days ago. I am in need of a rear stand. I have one that fit my previous bike (Ducati 900ss) but does not fit the 14. What rear stands are you all using and why?

I am a WERA and CCS expert road racer. I have a sponsership through Pit Bull. Great products. I can get any of you free shipping on stands and other Pit Bull products if any of you are interested in buying anything from Pit Bull. You have to get the parts directly from Pit Bull if you want my free shipping, but I haven't seen anyone sell Pit Bull stands any cheaper than Pit Bull. Here is their link, just look at the rear stands, as they have a Pit Bull especially for the ZX14 (as well as a few other special models):

I don't get on this forum very often, so to get the free shipping info, you have to email me at

Just send me an email, your name, and mention that you are a forum member and I'll email you back some info. Don't expect me to check this thread too often. Just trying to help you guys out some as well as promote an excellent American made product.

SILVER, for 150, I'll match you a yard dog vs. KneeScraper is throwing the choice deal at you; go for it, Elihue.

I have this setup for both the tiny bike and now I make no adjustment for the 14. Though, note the adjustment slots. This is more universal for down the road bikes. Note the detachable arm where some models, you can go with a permanent arm welded in place. But again, note the longer arm ordered for this old man on the easier leverage apply. No tripping over on the move say is all I need is a senior moment and hipseadays are over!

Great! Thanks for all the info guys. I will probably be taking KneeScraper up on that deal. Just ordered a rear hugger and a DB windscreen though so I need to wait for more income before I buy anything else at the moment.

Ordered the stands and used the info from Kneescraper and it worked like a champ. Thanks for the info on the free shipping. I would not have ordered these stands, but the free shipping was enough to get me at least persuaded. Thanks.

Glad to help out, Clifusaf

BTW, I'm in the US Army Reserves. Two combat tours, Iraq 2005 and Afghanistan 2008. I hope you enjoy your new stands.

PB is very, very nice. I would have gone with the detachable handle but was concerned that it would fit loose and be sloppy. Fits very securely I was told by one owner. Great floor space saver. If I were in the market for a new set I would see if they have a detachable handle front as well.

Glad to hear you joined the Reserve. Hope you stay in long enough to get your military retirement. You know what a boondoggle that is. Heh.

I work with veterans every day, helping them find work, training, and general helping them talk out issues. Seeing a lot of OIF/OEF guys and girls now, and a lot of emotional and mental issues just under the surface.

Coming back and going into a Reserve or NG unit is way to stay grounded with what you know, while you try to make a civilian career.

Most of them do just fine. I hope you do too. If you ever want advice about the Federal job application process, or your resume, or which companies are vet-friendly, I've got a world of knowledge and I'd be happy to share some of it. I work for the State, part of the federal Title 38 program to help vets get employment.

Oh, and I'm glad you joined the Army Reserves, I see far too many squids and I'm tired of it. J/K!
