Well it finally happened to me.
I was observing a yellow flashing light letting me know that there was someone trying to cross at the cross walk.
I approached slowly and noticed a grandmother helping her granddaughter cross with her bicycle. They were already in the median of four lanes of traffic.
I stopped while checking that the car behind me was stopping. He saw me and stopped as well.
I then began checking the right hand lane as well to make sure that lane was stopping as well. They were slowing.
I then heard schreaching tires and heard the crash as the car behind me was rear-ended and slammed into me.
I was thrown slowly off my bike while it was pushed forward.
I thought the bike had went down, but it was actually stuck to the hood and bumper of the car and never hit the ground.
It stuck between the tail end and tire, pushing my Muzzy up and forward.
It sheared at least two bottom bolts that hold the rear section to the frame.
I got a good bruise on my left shin from the handlebar on exit, but no other injuries that I can tell now.
I am just wondering if the frame was damaged???
The car hit me hard enough to shear bolts, push exhaust, and the seat was krinkled and hard to remove.
I will try and load a picture of the bike after being separated from car and towed to lot.
I was very lucky after all this, but want my bike back in the same shape or not at all!
