What you using ? Street riding mainly looking for a more aggressive bite...
Don't need any race versions but I better than stock pad if available , I don't consider EBC better than stock either lol...
Anyhow just looking for options

Stock pads are HH, find any HHH pad and they will bite better and wear the rotors faster than stocker's

Almost any new brake pad will bite better than the worn-put, glazed item it's replacing. I like the EBCs because they seem to last longer, work better for longer and glaze less than some others I've tried. Of course, they cost a bit more.....

Had a bad experience with D2 Moto brake pads.

The dirty part is used example of the D2 Moto brand. Take note of the two holes where the friction material anchors: the friction material is barely pushed into the holes.

Now compare that to the new EBCs.

I composed that photo after the friction material fell off one the pads after 8000 miles. Found it laying in the diveway.

I've had good results using EBC HH sintered.Whatever you do...stay away from 'organic"pads...unless you like losing the stopping power and wiping the melted pad material from the calipers.All within 10 minutes of normal braking.Probably a 'no-brainer' using those in the first place....hey,it looked and sounded good on the website.WTF do I know?

I've always liked the DP R pads. Hard to find a listing for but I have the correct part number for the ZX-14 in the garage. Much better feel than EBC's which to me have a wooden feel.

Just checked and the DP # is RDP-964...

Currently just bought a Galfer rear rotor (motomummy $92 shipped)

Found some CL (carbon Loraine) rx3 for the rear and the XBK5 for the front for a cost of $96
Anybody ever use these, what's your take... Didn't buy the pads yet just looking...

Never heard of Carbon Lorraine brake pads. That's the name of the company? hagrid had some big problems with off brand low cost pads. Watch out.

That's a great price you got on that Galfer rear rotor. I had to wait a couple months for mine to come in from Spain. Hope you have quicker service. IDK if it really improves braking performance all that much but it is almost a pound lighter than a fresh OEM rear rotor. Also, always nice to change rotors and pads all at the same time if it's cost effective.

Yes that's the only reason I bought it as everybody wants 120+ for it ... So I checked my 2nd favorite place and grabbed it... It does have a 2 week wait since it's not stocked for the 14 but it's winter anyhow.. Buy then I should have bike back and ready to start wrenching

My only experience with Carbon Lorraines was that they were the dirtiest pad I ever used.
I had to clean my gold anodized Carrozzeria's every time I rode the bike.
Stopping wise, I don't think they were much better than what was stock on my Blackbird..

I tried a set of CL's and like Hank, they were the dirtiest pads I've ever used. Stopping power was OK, but service life was short.

IIRC, they were the SBK5 pads...nasty mess they made!

What's the DP part numbers for the 14r

DP's part number is RDP-964...track only. I believe the first gen and the R model bikes have the same calipers. The pads are designed for quick break in and warm up. When new, I usually go out and do about 10 stops from 80 or 90 down to 20 and then repeat, not coming to a stop in between. Then I ride and let everything cool...Done and from there, good to go.

I've had these on my bike, saved the package so I never make the same mistake again. I think there terrible, they feel like blocks of wood compared to EBC. Who knows I may have broke them in wrong, I run them through several heat cycles, careful to not get them to hot or overheated for the first 100 miles or so. Not sure of the text book break in process but I do the same thing with EBC pads and have much better results. As far as being dirty I can't say I noticed that, very well could of been, but I took them off after about a thousand miles and tossed them out so they didn't have much time to get messy.

Hank I tried the Ebc organic once,couldn't get rid of them fast enough only got them because the good Ebc wereout of stock,on the 07 14 we have Ferrado race pads really like them

Pricey but great bite and feel and suits my riding well.
But then I guess I haven't really used that many different pad options to compare with...

I switched to EBC HH a few years ago. Can definitely hear them biting down on the front rotors, but I dig the firm feel. I've done some trackdays with nothing but good feedback all day long, so performance wise they work great and outlast the stockers too.

My EBC HHs were pretty quiet on the stock rotors. MAybe I heard a groan or two. The CZ rotors I have now make some noise with HHs. Maybe its from wear. The CZ rotors are much thinner than stock so if the pads are worn, they have to get squeezed in even a bit farther on skinny rotors. That might have something to do with it?

ZX10 guys do the 14 brake swap and run stock pads for track days.

You can't outride the stock pads on the street. You can lock up the front tire and slide with the stock pads. Bang, they did their job. It's not like you have bake fade and powering through the pads and not locking the front tire up. Extra grab from HHH wears the rotors down faster and sometimes squeeks like shit and makes it sound like a hoopty riding on the squeelers. That's just MHO. I'd take the best price on either of the 3 mentioned below.

07 zx6r. run the same style pads as ours, so you can look up some other racing pads by that.

Vesrah RJL/SRJL-17 and Carbon Lorane SBK pads are at the top of the heap followed by stock pads. EBC HH/HHH pads are not recommended.
