AdMore v35 PLX LED light kit
07/05/11 5:07 PM

Got the new wiring harness from AdMore today, and it works perfectly.

Now, on my v35 PLX side cases, where the red reflectors used to be, I have a) running lights, b) brake lights, c) turn signals. And of course, emergency flashers.

Will feel even more like I'm doing all I can to be seen by the idiot in the car behind me.

Going to post some new pictures soon in the Pictures section, as soon as I get the latest round of mods done.

Privateer,

Are you saying that you have found LED headlights/turn signals with an LED light wiring harness? Is there any splicing of wires, or is is COMPLETELY a plug-n-play system? I'm interested only in a complete plug and play LED headlight system. Link? Phone #?

Thanks!

The AdMore PLX v35 kit replaces the reflectors in the Givi v35 side cases with LED strips, and provides really good wiring for inside the case, and a wiring harness which you tap into the rear turn signals, brake light, and tail light with.

Then your side cases act like extra turn and brake signals.

Nobody has a LED for a headlight conversion yet. It would probably cost about $1,000 or something today. Maybe in a few years. I'm pretty sure house and commercial lighting will go LED once the price comes down on them.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't get on here too often, but when I do, I keep looking out for that plug-n-play HID headlight kit for the ZX14. Someday. I'll just keep my stock lights until they do make such a kit.

Thanks!

You won't find a true plug-and-play headlamp solution for the ZX14 ever, is my take on the situation.

The ZX14 is end-of-life, it is only because we are a fanatical, if small, group of enthusiasts who spend a lot of money on ZX14 stuff / bling / etc. that things are still available for our bikes.

However, bikes being designed for release in 2015 may start to show up with LED headlamps, if the technology improves enough to make it cost effective. You won't see them except on high end, flagship bikes, like the big BMW touring bikes, Goldwings, basically bikes costing over $25,000 already where $500 for LED headlamp won't affect the price so drastically.
