Accessory Plug/outlet
08/25/15 12:20 PM

I need to install an accessory plug (we use to call them "cigarette lighters " ). Anyone found a good place on the bike to install and/or wire in? 2013 Zx14.
TIA

I didn't want to drill out the c-f inner fairing panels, so I attached it to the underside of the headlight fairing where the windscreen joins the fairing. Had one mounted to the inner panel on a previous machine and had to screw around with the connections each time I had to get in there. This way, it stays unless the headlight fairing comes off.

You can see the dual outlet on the upper right with the radar detector and a rechargeable flashlight plugged in. The r.d. has since been moved to over the gauge pod. Everything is wired back to a terminal block that's mounted on the far side of the battery.
