ECU
03/26/26 10:03 AM

Had my ECU reflashed to get rid of the restrictions, got it back and everything is screwed up. I get 3 different codes, my traction control just blinks, can't turn it off or on, don't even know what mode it's in. The place that did the reflash tells me I need to ride the bike three times for 15 min or more and the ECU will reset itself and I will have control over the bike. Has anyone heard of this.

Well. Try to ride it for 30 minutes and see if it fixes.

Codes shouldnt be there. but do the ride and see if anything is fixed.

1st gen's clear codes within seconds. 2nd gen's take longer as in key switches turning off about 20+ times or more. I think that ECU is one key off short of a brick. Tell them to re-flash so it turns into a real brick and wont start the bike at all. Then have them buy a new ECU for you and tell them to not flash it, just mail it back to you.

I think you're posting in the right area. All due respect to Hub the master but this suspension post has nothing at all to do with the ECU. I kind of get not flashing the ECU if you ride a stock bike. The stock tuning is pretty exciting. My input on this mark, is that the best suspension in the world isn't going to let you ride a lot better. i had Ohlins on my Gen1 and it was one of those "better than me" stories. The floaty Gen1 forks were kind of on pace with the weight of the bike. They worked because you weren't taking a bike that size into a corner at a high enough speed to really need those fancy suspensions. They worked though. It was still a big heavy beast and no suspension and no tires made much difference to me. I used them because they were cool. I'm not quite tat cool although I do my best.

Tim, what year is the bike? Can you see the code numbers and read them off. Might help to see who popped up.
