Sure very simple. Lot's of fairing removal and that wire connector to the directional might require a third hand the first time you do this....but otherwise, just 2 screws. IMO, Might as well ditch the hot wind covers while you're at it.

Sixteen years later and I see the problem. It's the same problem with the 14R. You remove the two screws that secure the front turn signal housing, the turn signal comes loose but can't be pulled from the hole in the fairing. There is a lip along the front edge of the turn signal lens and it hooks over the hole on the outside of the fairing. The only way I can see to remove the front turn signal is to snap the projections on the lens out of the slots in the housing, then remove the housing from the lens. The lip along the front edge of the lens should clear the hole in the fairing if the lens is pivoted out like a door hinge. ...I guess.
Has anyone (please) removed a front turn signal from a ZX-14? Why did Kaw have to make this so difficult?
I'm trying to install aftermarket turn signals.

Aww, when I saw this updated I thought "Finally I'll get to replacing those front directional bulbs with the LEDs I bought." I've been procrastinating since it looks like the only way to do it is to remove (!) the side fairings, which means removing a bunch of other fairings. The rear directional bulbs are one screw each side, pop, replace, snap back into place. WTF, Kawasaki?

Well bim, I posted on the ZX-14 Community on FB and had a couple guys tell me the front directionals are a tight fit but they will come out if you force them and nothing should break if you're very careful. If all you want is new bulbs, you'll have to remove the grills, fuel tank cover, ram air covers and finally the side /lower fairings. You can replace the bulb easily after that. If you're removing the whole turn signal, it's a bit more tricky.
