Second nightmare experience with buying OEM Kawasaki parts online. I ordered $440 worth of parts from a dealer in Ohio. No charge for shipping and the order arrived in seven days but missing two items, well nuts and a brake lever .Customer Sevice apologized and shipped the missing parts via USPS Priority Mail and issued a tracking number. No problem right? Wrong, USPS tracking service said the package was delivered this morning around 11:00 AM. The package never arrived. I have no idea who got it, who signed for it or if there is even a signature required. What a nightmare, how can I prove I never got it? I may have to reorder from my dealer and pay twice, I'm done, this is just not worth the aggravation!

If you have an insane BEotch living in the same building like I do, getting in the car and going down to the UPS or FedEx starts to seem like a better option than delivery and they leave your $400 worth of stuff outside your door if you're not home.

You can request that the package be left at the station and pick up yourself. Yes, what a pain. "Neighbors" can be such .

1. If the addy is to you, Kruz, both brown and fedx have a base $99 insurance. You now prove to brown the date and time you want, the driver, the route of the day [IF] they send you bogus whatever paper trail. If someone came to your door, the odds are pretty good, in the neighborhood, your driver hit a house before and a house after.

2. You being in the middle of that delivery says:
a. Brown was legit.
b. Rook's neighbor has a cousin/sister living near you. They came to take your package away...
c. ... Who-who-who... Ha-ha-ha... They've come to take you away hey-hey... Snap out of it!

The net is the way to shop. Ebay/amazon/books/air line tickets/etc. Like Rook said, someone can write a book, being tripped up like the lever story, Kruz. If lever and other parts are under 100 bucks, you just order again, and this time... Take a ride and 'will call' to a brown station. Stick it in a priority with tracking/hand sig... You are not the only one getting stiffed if they have options to your door. Learn from it... The net is here to stay.

Can you see their faces you pick up a fairing box from brown's own depot? Did brown/fedx pick that up from the dealer and now blame the dealer? I don't think so, unless a bike fell over the box before brown picked it up. Wouldn't you think the guys in the back would hear something?

My old lady mails a check during holiday time to someone. Maybe it said cash, who knows? She calls or no one calls, someone in the uspo was screening letters with checks in it. Come about Jan or Feb... The check is cashed. May have been part time help at the po's depot?

I seen yours name on the back of the check... Can you imagine the balls of mail fraud and all that petty $50 bucks worth of the uspo is broken with foreign trash or the trash running the po is foreign sorta is a broken system? You talk about po's po'd people get shot LOL

You can pick up well nuts at Home Depot if you want don't want the hassle or wait. I'm pretty sure USPS also insures for $100, at least I know they do if it went Priority.

We just had a video game for the kids show up yesterday that the wife ordered in October. It looked like USPS had used it as a speed bump in one of their depot's for the last 3 months, complete with tire marks. I don't know how they even had the balls to deliver it, and with no apology or explanation.

OK, who's my gripe with, dealer or the postal service? If there was no signature required, then how do I prove it wasn't delivered? It should have been left in my mailbox or if too large, a notice of where to pick it up. This episode just doesn't seem to end. They should have sent it by either UPS or FedEx, the US government can't do anything right anymore. WWII is considered the last operation by the US government that wasn't a complete disaster!

I just Googled it and sounds like I'm in good company. A lot of people are claiming USPS shows a package delivered with a time stamp when it wasn't. Sounds like some dishonest postal workers. I don't know what to do now.

Gripe is with the thief that apparently stole it off of your porch.

Dogo, I live in an apartment right now, very large complex. All packages go to the front office, the front office says they don't have it but USPS claims they delivered. Someone is lying. If it is a signature required package then someone in the front office had to sign for it....yes? No signature, it was not delivered.

Ahhhh... Well, I'd assume your Apt mgr is telling the truth then... It was never delivered. Time to file a complaint with USPS. Should be covered under standard insurance. PITA, but you'll get reimbursed.

This is outrageous. I'm going with RonAyers end of next week and I'll make sure to check who they use. About being reimbursed, it'll take forever. You should just wait and check who usually deliver that day at that time and ask him/her if she remembers delivering the package. If the mailman doesn't remember it's him/her or Rook's neighbor cuz, if it was left at the office... maybe it's time you find a different complex. The post office doesn't usually ask for signatures, the sender has to specify and add extra (I believe). It's the sender fault as well, who ship bike parts through the post office?

Someone is lying.

My bet is the US post. Did I not tell you about my daughter's ant farm she wanted for her birthday? I ordered $38 worth of ants and they showed up at least 1 week late. I was getting pissy with the seller thinking he was selling ants that were not hatched yet....and he kept telling me it was the postal service. The postal service kept saying the seller never sent it. He gave me a tracking number and I checked it out at the local PO. They found it sitting in a warehouse in Ohio.

I got the ants a few days later. The date in the package indicated that the ants were sent on time. The postal service delivered live insects (aprox $2/ant) way late. Looked to me like the PS people were flat out lying to me until I supplied a tracking #. Even then, they did not own up to anything. Not a word was mentioned about the express delivery I paid extra for.

BTW, most of the ants were alive. I boiught a heat pack and they throw a carrot in the vial for the little devils to suck on. Daughter was thrilled. Last ant croaked just last month. Think I will order more for her.

I might have some good news for you, maybe. Here is my story.

I ordered a Powerlet pig tail and they chose USPS for delivery. My mail comes to a neighborhood box, that is, about 20 boxes on a stand near my house. I watched the USPS truck drop off the mail, I quickly went to my box to get my mail and there was no package from Powerlet, I went back home and checked the USPS website and it showed my package had been delivered that day. NOW WHAT! And it was a Saturday, I would have to wait until Monday to make a claim.

By chance, I went back to the mail box, and lo and behold, the package was there. That means the mailman put my mail in, I picked it up right away, then he came back and dropped off the package.

Who knows how the USPS works!

Yes, I Googled it and there were many similiar stories about USPS showing packages delivered on their tracking site and either never showing up or showing up late. It sounds like they have a major loophole there that needs fixing. OK, I'll check the office again on Monday and also contact the company I bought from. This whole thing is turning into a PITA, now approaching two weeks and I still don't have all of my parts.

BTW, I used PayPal. I will refuse full payment until this issue is resolved. Without a delivery signature, it cannot be proven the parts were ever delivered. I won't ever do this again, twice now I've ordered OEM on line and it's been a disaster! Last time I ordered from my dealer, everything arrived in ten days with no damage or shortage.

And sometimes dealers will match online prices or come close.

Kruz - you are in good shape with PayPal. You may have to contact the shipper and have them try to file a claim with USPS. Shouldn't really be your responsibility if you didn't receive the items. I would check one more time at the office on monday to be sure and then file a claim with PayPal. I have done it before and you get your money back fairly quickly, a couple of days I think.

I just talked to a neighbor, said the same thing happened to him and it showed delivered, showed up the next day. I will try the office again on Monday. Thanks for the tips.

Priorities are fine , momma got the kids and the house, I got the child support and a butt load of motorcycles. Bikes are parked downstairs in my garage, I said I lived in an apartment not a tenement slum....lol! No more houses for me unless I get rehitched, not a good investment anymore IMHO. Between routine upkeep, property taxes and non-scheduled repairs they can be a money pit, been there and done that! I might get a condo with a very large garage but no need for a big house payment when your flying solo.
