Had a interesting night the other night, met up with an old riding buddy at the gas station that I used to ride with back on my gsxr 1000 days. He also has a 2012 zx14r but it's in blue. Well we got talking about are bikes and he wanted to feel what it was like with a lil bit of gearing so I said we could switch bikes for awhile. Well I get on his bike and we take off and I almost craped my pants. This guy had slip ons and no gearing so I decided to punch it right off the bat, well he didn't happen to tell me he put on the rifleman throttle mod. HOLY SHIT that bike took off liked a raped ape. For people who don't know the rifleman throttle makes your bike go to full throttle with way less of a turn. WOW WOW WOW needlessly to say I order one last night. For 25 bucks it's the greatest mod I have ever felt on a bike for the money. It's amazing how once you get used to it, it feels like your part of the throttle. The bike comes alive and feels soooo much more powerful just cruising around. You guys think your bikes are monsters now well for 25 bucks try this. And if you don't like it take it off. I looked on line and a shit ton of people have it done and EVERYONE loved it. It's how the bike should have come from the factory. Side note he loved the gearing, he said it made his 14r feel a lil sluggish in roll ons. I was having to much fun with the rifleman to care on his though. But when I did get back on my there is definitely a good difference. With my set up this rifleman throttle is going to feel like its boosted. Most fun I've had on any bike in a while. I keep you guys updated. Rifleman said it should ship no later than Saturday.

Nah c I loved it. Its not about going full throttle all the time, its about a much more responsive throttle at ALL TIMES. I think grn14 had one and loved it. It makes the bike super touchy. Don't knock something unless you tried it. Search it up, all across the net peope love em.

People of all bikes loved it and said they would never own a bike without it again. Alot of them we're 14 owners. Goggle rifleman throttle zx14. I guess thosands of people are idiots.

I did the DIY 1/5 turn throttle. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I did that on my BKing. I ended up breaking my arm. It was fine going straight, but when I tried to take a turn once and didn't have my full concentration on the throttle, I pulled an accidental wheelie and when it slammed down my arm went "ouch". I got bit by my own mod!! Be careful with that throttle on turns or turning on wet pavement, it will show you the ground lickety split! Good Luck!

Here is the disconnect again and here is why. You lose throttle sensitivity at lean WHEN IT IS MOST CRITICAL FOR ANGLE AND SPEED AND OFF CORNER DRIVE. Who gives two shits what it does straight up and down. I can go WOT straight up and down with anyone. It's free. Called WOT. ABC 123. Get it???

Yeah...that throttle mod is very nice...I gotta say...I want one actually for my 14R...but it doesn't look like they have one for the 14R...IDK why...it's virtually the same throttle position wise.Been trying to get one..no luck yet...any help would be great...I did love mine..very nice add on.

You gain throttle sensitivity as the ramp rate is increased.

Grn talked to rifleman and the 14r should be the same. Oh I get it C, yet I think you don't. Its definitely not for very twisty road's I'll give it that. But then again not all of us a track gods on the street. Key words on the street. I'll drive like that on a track but I'm no idiot to try that on public streets with so much shit on the roads.

Now ya got it! I'm THAT idiot! Sorry z. I was all amped from a ride and shite! Maybe I would like it on the 14r. I tried on on another bike and got a little happy with my throttle hand. It scared the shit out of me as I almost high sided someone else's bike. So again. Post deleted. :))

Just need to learn to use smaller throttle inputs. A wot pull leaves the wrist in a better position, no need for a regrab. Like I said, I love mine, works great in traffic.

I got a flash that opens valves at 100 % after 2500 rpm. Why would I need the rifle man? Add here too, feathering the throttle at a carve on a highway on ramp for example is critical to managing the bike at lean. So too, during tight turns as I often look for this on the streets to practice cornering/carving. For these pursuits and other hooligan hangers at turn I would not get the rifleman. However thank you for the insight. Did not know this existed. And for line launches and roll on junkies I can see the appeal. But NOT 4 Me!

Z, how was the install? What was the process? Did you have to cut the locknuts off of the throttle cables? And cut threads off? I have read that some do not need to.

LOL. I have the mod on my ZX10 and also on the ZX14. takes a little getting used to but I love it. There is also a cheaper method to get same effect. You can use a yamaha R1 or R6 02-06 throtle tube to replace you stock one. Costs is around 10.00 bucks.

It is just a much more grab a handful feel! Shitty fit and finish, no instructions, etc. But, I smoothed all the edges and reworked an angle with my file and Padow. Feels like she wakes UP RIGHT NOW, when ya roll on firmly. If you are an aggressive rider this mod is Great bang for the buck. If you are a fuckin pussy, it is not for you.
