Ok boy's here it goes. Cblast flashed my ECU a number of weeks ago. Here is my "Personal Opinion" of the performance enhancements I have experienced. Number one...Is it worth the effort and the price? You damn right it is. It's truly the VERY best money I've spent on my bike performance wise since buying it. No question. As rideable as these monsters are from the factory it's STILL a tune that they put on the bike to accommodate the vast majority of the riders around the country. That's a tall task in itself, so you can imagine the hours of testing and design that go into a production bike like this to make it rideable for the masses.
HOWEVER...we here on this forum don't necessarily fall into that category, hence, we mod our bikes, some for performance and some for looks. Without question I admire Cblast's skills AND effort he has put into developing his own flash. It's not a...let's build a custom flash this evening after supper thing! He's be very meticulous about it and very specific about it. I call him anal just to piss him off, but it doesn't work so I went back to calling him blast. LOL
Now the meat. There's a noticeable improvement starting at about 2500rpm - 5000rpm, so much smoother, VERY controllable in that area for those of you that run your bike towards the lower end in corners, I would say that if you have just "reasonable" throttle control you're gonna reduce the chance of a nice, slip-bite-highside by way over 50%.
From 5000rpm to around 8000rpm if you can picture the surface of glass, it's just a little smoother than that, absolutely PERFECT for those faster sweeping corners that are so much fun to take at say, 120-140, you'll feel like an expert in no time because of it.
From 8000rpm to limiter, think GODZILLA!! Geeezus guys, it took my cheeks two days to get all the way back to my face. It truly pulls so smooth and hard that my seat looked like I had put a cigar out on it! LOL
All of this combined with the improved handling of some of your settings just make it an awesome ride. I know there are other flashes available and cannot comment on those because I haven't ridden them, but, at this point I seriously can't find a reason to. It's truly a top performance type flash and for whatever your bike was before...it feels renewed.
Just my 2 cents worth and may not mean anything to anyone but I wanted to give a rather detailed assessment after having a few weeks on it. Cblast IS the man!!

I'm somewhat confused here.. What is this smooth you guys are talking about??
I came from a 10R so the 14r is like a Cadillac for me in it's "no flash state"

Are u guys feeling a rough or twitchy throttle wit stock ecu?
I feel nothing in those rpm ranges she just goes no matter what gear or rpm!

Cause as it sits she is smooth right now.. I can't imagine it any smoother...
This weekend I changed the oil and pretty much just rode it like I normally would hard and fast! She handled great at 50 or 150mph (mostly sweepers and on/off ramps).. I'm still getting a wobble under hard accelerating but not like before (still haven't put my damper on) ..

You are right, it is smooth stock, what I was referring too was compared to the Guhl flash,
Cblast's flash is smoother, among many other things hahah !

I can attest to Cblasts flash, getting on the freeway yesterday, in second gear, give it a little blip,
And up the front end comes ! Smoothly too !

Third gear feels like second etc ... There is power and torque everywhere !

Going to get it dynoed when I put the new plugs in, balance the TB and put in
New air filter, and Motul 300V oil ....

It's not. The ECU isn't going to deliver until Friday. I might skip out on a couple hours of work and take it out as soon as it delivers.

What????? Friday? I paid guaranteed for freakin Teusday! I have a tracking number at my house, been out gettin bike stuff done pretty much caint see to caint see. It is that season. Minute I get home today I will dig that stuff up and find out what's crackin J. I knew time was of the essence, there fore ur turnaround was rapid. Cornelius is already rippin on Delilah and I sent his a full day later. I will gt on it bud.

If you used the return label I put in the box, you sent it UPS ground. That's the number I'm tracking and it says it'll deliver tomorrow.

I wonder if you've got my ECU confused with someone else's.

I'm curious as to how much impact the flash will have on an otherwise stock bike. As far as I know, I'm the only one that's had that done.

Actually bud, we have done this for 3 customers now. You will notice a nice increase everywhere, and no more stock limitations in anything. Once the exhaust is upgraded??? :) well, Cornelius can testify to the validity of the increase! :)) you have the same demon lurking under the surface.
