Stopped by the dealer today and sat on a 2013 zx14R today. WOW Seating position is soooooo comfortable compared to my 600 supersport. Mirrors are really nice and you can actually see something besides your arms! Levers are already black! There's one less upgrade. Basically the bike is perfect except for the trash can exhaust which doesnt look half as bad in person as it does in pictures. This would be one bike I would have to do very little to suit me. Pipe and a program and a fender elem and I'm done. Well maybe a windshield. They had one in white, all I can say about that is wow. Wish I could have rolled it outside and looked at it but there was about an inch of snow on the ground and I wasnt prepared to buy today anyway.

Soon as I can get my bike sold or over to the dealer for trade, I must have one!

Welcome to the insanity ! JK, this is the best bike I have ever threw a leg over, I would suggest a flash of the ECU, and either slip ons, or full system, set up your suspension, and it really doesn't need much else, it's really that good off the showroom floor ....
Also, have you seen the flat black one in person ? I haven't seen one yet, but it looks nice also

Oh, and talk to Cblast about the marc 1 windscreen, and possibly flash ?

Ive only seen the 2013 S/E Black and green and the 2013 white. Me want the white!!!!

Being an owner of the white 2013 zx14 it is flawless.. Everything about it if flawless out the box except of course the exhaust but that's being handled. Welcome Darkarcher.. I dont plan on doing too many mods on my either. M10 Muzzy change the air filter and mayb a bazaar.. oh and definitely a Marc1 windscreen from Cblast.. and I already did fender
eliminater and white tape around the wheels.

Thats the second time someone has mentioned that marc 1 windshield, time to use the search feature to see if I can find some pics!

That screen is Sick!!! But after reading further it seems the corsa is still the winner for me.. The curves on the Marc 1 is gorgeous tho.... Anybody got a pic of the blue 14 with the Marc 1 or corsa screen???
Also are the screens any cheaper through cblast? I can't never reach home via phone..

Yea there are only 2 things standing in my way right now. The SHIT weather here in Cincinnati right now, and my current bike. Hopefully my guy at the dealership will offer me a decent trade in. I have already purchased a bike from him 3 years ago so I have some loyalty points. Anybody want to buy a like new Daytona 675? They make good track bikes......

darkarcher, I know this is kind off topic but if you trade it in, make sure you get your tax credit. You paid taxes on the bike when you bought it so you shouldn't pay taxes again when you trade it. Just trying to give a buying tip (if you didn't already know) to help you get the bike man. Might be another 2-300 or so towards the new one.

Good advice, I didn't know about the tax credit, they have been ripping people of in CA for years, if you sell a used bike to someone, they charge the new owner tax again, on the bike you already paid tax on !!

I'm sure most states do that .....

Oh darkarcher, when you get the new beast and get a flash, be careful the first time when you whack the throttle open with traction control off, Just saying ......

Well when they resell it to the new owner they can charge them tax again. I mean if you trade in a bike and you get 2,000 for it (easy number) and the bike you're buying is 10,000, then you should only pay taxes on 8,000 rather than 10,000 because you already paid taxes on the bike when you bought it the first time. Dealers do that alot to make some extra money. Also, your interest rate is negotiable sometimes. Idk about other states but in La, a dealer can legally jack up the interest rate by 2% and pocket that 2% for themselves. Not trying to hijack this thread, just wanted to give some friendly advice.

Yea good info guys, my bike is probably worth 10k as it sits so are you saying the dealer should only charge me tax on the difference say 3k for an easy round number?

If it does work out since I live in cincinnati and brocks is in dayton which is only like an hour at most, I wont be able to resist going up there and letting him work it over. Get me some ct duals and a PCV, a flash, maybe a couple tuggs on the dyno for giggles. Got some inlaws right down the street. I can see it now, drop that thing off early some saturday, go have a couple beers and some lunch, come back and drive the beast home!!! Its way to clear in my mind to not be real right now.

I tell you what though, If I wasnt about all out performance, that alienhead full system in black ceramic with a white logo plate and black lettering on a white 2013 zx14r would probably be a really good looking setup.

Darkarcher, I live about 30 mins from Brock's. They won't work on your bike, only do project bikes :-(. I already tried that last year.

Either way hope you get one man! I looked at several before the testosterone in me won out and I had to have the baddest thing out. Get you ECU flashed and pipes and it's almost like an entirely new beast. If you haven't ridden one before here are the "zones" of the bike...

2000-5000 fun
5000-7000 crazy
7000-redline stupid crazy fun. LOL

And the bike rides great. Put over 1500 in 3.5 days. Rode down to Deals Gap and back. We actually shaved almost an hour off on the return trip lol. But you know, 170 will do that ;-/
