Hi everybody! This is my first topic here and I could really use some advice. Last August I bought a 2008 ZX14 and I have been in love! The community has helped as everyone seems super cool and helpful. Only issue is that the previous owner dropped the bike before selling it and cracked two pieces of the fairing/cowling on the right side of the bike. When I bought it, I hadn't realized the parts for plastics on these bikes are completely obsolete and nearly impossible to find. I know there are many aftermarket plastic companies I can go through, but the reviews I have heard about all of them are shaky at best. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get parts to make my bike perfect? Thanks in advance!

Which pieces do you need?

I had the same issue back in 2016 with a low speed lay down of my 2006 ZX-14 on the right side, even back then fairing parts where hard to come by. The lower right fairing was completely out of production so I ended up doing a world wide search on the internet using the OEM part number and found one in a warehouse in Holland. The international shipping was a bit pricey but I was just glad to get one.

Also eBay has a lot of used fairing parts for these older bikes but you have to really be careful as they are often damaged or in otherwise poor condition.

A gazillion complete fairing kits are available for your bike on eBay but I would check the reviews as the fitment quality is often an issue. Some are a decent fit while others are a lot of work to make right.

The good news is you can make your bike look positively awesome and unique and the complete fairing sets are often less than just the OEM top fairing alone would be from KHI.

Also complete bodywork fastener kits are available and relatively inexpensive.

Used fairing parts, be cautious and talk to the seller about any hidden damage or scratches.
