Exhaust

Looking for opinions on best performing slip-ons for the ZXR. When I bought mine in August of 2012 there was really nothing available yet. Now that I'm looking again there appear to be tons. Who is putting the best product out there to replace those stock cannons?

Muzzy.

Dual black oval stainless slips with mid-pipes.

I love the dual stainless tip look. Old school endurance racer.
Looks
Sound is deep and thunderous.
Performance is excellent. Stock header flows well and the huge muzzy midpipes are flawless.
Price point is very good (ya can PM me for a quote if ya need)

Over time heat is giving it that beautiful deep patina. I love em! Later on, if ya choose Muzzy makes a replacement header and mid pipe set-up that will upgrade ur slips to a full system if you choose.

"supposedly"....Akrapovic has the 'best' performance gain of any of the headers/systems.You can go full system...OR...headers only(Akros),and add a some proven slip-ons.Yoshimura makes some very nice slip-ons...hell...any high end slip-on mfg will get good results...but none are cheap priced....course...you know that.;)I'm running Akro SS headers, and a Yoshi midpipe(s)...and Vance and Hines CS Ones(dual).Have had Brock's(full system) on my past zx14R(Green like yours). They all run very nicely...just depends really on what you're after.Looks?Sound?Performance?...You'll not get great leaps and bounds of HP/Tq by going full or slip...they're all about the same.Had full Yoshi on my second zx14R(2013)...switched em out for the Akro and Vance/Hines.These I particularly like mainly for the looks...Except the headers...those I got for performance.

If you listen to C's Muzzy's...they're very nice and aggressive sounding...and his tune is flawless...so that definitely enhances the exhaust. They all sound somewhat the same...yet different...just up to you really what you like.

I would only spend real money on a full system. If you get slipons, don't worry about which one will make the most power. just get a used set of slipons for cheap until you can afford a good full system which will actually make some real hop gains. The stock header is heavy and if its like the Gen1, it does not have as good flow as aftermarket headers. Most bikes OEM headers are designed for extreme low end power and quiet. You won't miss either one with a full system.

I recently put in an order for one of these guys here http://www.brocksperformance.com/CT-Megaphone-Full-System+I393888+C133.aspx. Supposedly these guys make a rocking system. Damn thing was supposed to arrive today but UPS fucked it up and it got lost in transit. Monday it will arrive. My whole weekend has been wrecked! I've got ants in my pants waiting for for it to show.

I just ordered a set of Yosh R77 carbon slip-ons from Leatherup.com for $791 shipped. I thought that was a good deal.

All systems are very nice, I decided on Brocks Alien head because of single sided look and sound.

Unfortunately no. They are specific to muzzy. But, the Akro header will fit ur slips and flows well too if ur lookin for a header upgrade to fit those slips!

Can't say anything bad about the two bros, a few guys run em and like em but all of them seem to switch after awhile to the yoshi's or go full system. I must admit that I'm a Muzzy loyalist when it comes to kawasaki and you just can't go wrong with em, my .02

Txn, I'm also considering the Vale Black Series slip ons. Found a website that also seems like a good price. http://www.biohazardcycles.com/servlet/the-5972/TWO-BROTHERS-RACING-2/Detail I have a buddy of mine in my squadron here that ordered from this guy before, and said he was pleased and that the seller kept him up-to-date on the status of his order. This is who I was thinking about getting my through. Anybody else find a better price for this exhaust?
