G'day all. Yes..another newbie here. Have just ordered a 2014 Ohlins ZX14R. Had a 2010 ZX a couple of years back and really missed riding on the highway with it, so time to put the leg back over one again. Looking forward to it. Great site here by the way with lots of interesting reads.

G,day Fellow South Aussie great place for everthing specific ZX1400-ZX1400RRRrrrrrr,by the way ya didn,t get that white Buttie from SA bikes by any chance? but O and R ya busy 0n the 29th (Sunday) after Xmass,Weve mates and possibly 4 x ZX14R,s doing Clare/stop for a smoke or fuel,Burra via the back quite uninterupted road then stop for a pub meal talk a bit of Bs.lol then return on the flood plains great sweeper,s dips and stretches ???

G'day mate, Hahaha yeah I actually did order mine from SA Motorcycles but not the one in the show room as it was already sold. So I have to wait for mine. Would have been keen to ride with you blokes but unfortunately I don't get bike until end of January at this stage. Keep me in mind for future rides though!

1 XJR1300 + His Katana, 1 Haybusa,1 Diversion Yamaha,1 Bandit,1 2012 R1, 1 Ducati,1 Harley,my ZX14R, 1 R6 hopefully soon some more 14R,s just before I got my second ZX14, here is the 2010ZX14 I had before the 14R

Nice mix of bikes there. I have looked at all the different road bikes on offer but kept coming back to the ZX. I also have a Harley V-Rod Muscle but find the ZX far better for touring. I ride with a mate who has a Honda VFR1200.

The V-Rod was the one I was looking at buying If I could,nt bend my Right leg enough to keep riding my ZX14,I guess im lucky as I can bend it 89degrees thats good enough lol,I went from a 03 Blackbird bought new to a 04 Blackbird,seen the at the time new VFR1200 not so keen on it thats when I bought the 2010 Red ZX1400 new,my 12 ZX14R was a demo with 1,700 kays on it when I bought it

I love the V-Rod but don't think I really need 2 bikes so will be selling that one. Once I am back on the ZX I probably won't ride the V-Rod much anyway.

You have the Bike I thought of getting cause of my R/H bend knee problem Heay I tell ya with me had the 10ZX14 and this R is so much more refined! can say I was offered your ONE! but he was talking between $8.5K-$10K change over! no way as with yer rear shock say $3k then you have one of the Sweeeeeeeter colour scheems IMO YOURS N the Green one!R my FAV ones but I still LUV mine!can,t wait to ride with ya heay you said yer still got the V-Rod ! join in bring ya mate too on 29th if ya not too busy!

I'm glad to hear they have improved the ZX on previous models. It was good before so can only get better. Yeah the rear shock is a bonus, they are also throwing in a set of Akrapovic slip ons with a RRP of $2700. That made it a bit better value. I am trying not to use the V-Rod to keep the kms low for selling.

It's a 2011 model with 5400kms on the clock, so it hasn't done much work..barely run in

And what in your opinion how do you rate the V-rod ? not knowing myself I read a lot of ZX 14 bro,s all had the same complaint with "cruisers",the say because your upright riding it causes back issues,but it too can be related to age aswell in some cases maybe.

I actually like the riding position of the Muscle. I do find it a little uncomfortable at high speed after a while but cruising around town is good. I think all bikes have riding position problems in one way or another. I stuck some reduced reach bars and a riser on it which makes a big difference.

Yeah I hear ya To help me out on both ZX14-R my 1" drop pegs and bar-risers have helped me out a bit!

Yeah I had risers on my previous ZX

My 6' tall mate goodie on the right!liked my former ZX after I did the riser,s<Drop-pegs and D/BBL screen.
