Hmmm...Okay...I received my Cblast flashed ECU this AM.I installed it.I did not know what to expect.Period.
I want to say here...first off...C..THANK YOU for the shirt...totally cool my man...saw it in your pics and I really really liked the logo and all...thank you again....I will wear it PROUDLY!!!!It's killer bro;)
Secondly...there are two people on this forum here that actually KNOW how to get the most from these beasts. We all know who they are...and we're all friends on here I hope.
Thirdly...you guys know by now...I ride by feel....what feels good...I say. What doesn't...I say.If something isn't right...I say so.But none of my comments are ever meant to disgrace or slam anyone.
I now have TWO(well three actually)of the best flashes available. They are all very very good.Top notch. For all out overall performance...yes....very good.EVERY flash is a bit different....which is to be expected.
As you know...I've been running my Romes flash for a while now.I am very happy with it...it's feel.
Today....I rode my bike and tried my best to feel the differences between the Cblast...and the Romes. There is a difference.I am not a pro...I wouldn't know the first thing about race carving and all that stuff...but I think I can say that I know how this bike should feel compared to factory condition.
I'm trying to keep this as neutral as possible....because both you guys are my friends and I have mucho respect for both of you.
I have to give the nod to the Cblast flash. It is an extremely well done flash....it feels different in the way the power comes on...but there is definitely MORE power being layed down.It is VERY VERY linear...no real surprises as to throttle application...meaning...it's smooth...not jolting.I think with a rifleman's throttle mod it will be complete.
I did the 'wheely' test...my Romes flash had lots of power...yes....and would climb very quickly....once the r's got up a ways...then all hell breaks loose.Okay....NOW....lofting the front...MUCH less throttle (r's)needed...and she lofts cleanly and smoothly...but is SO strong...scarey strong.Waiting I say for the wrong input to slap yer azz out the seat and over the backLOL!I had some problems getting the Romes flash to loft in second....she lofts in second now very nicely.I'm a street guy...so popping the clutch and hammering with rpm preloads is not my forte. But I can tell right now this machine is delivering a substantial increase in torque and power than before.I have no doubts that timing this beast in second from first will produce ass over teakettle lifts.I'm glad I'm getting a steering damper soon...so I can exploit this new dimension;)I'm riding in F-Off...as always. The wheel spins easily after takeoff or while taking off.It spins in second as well if the r's are up a tad. It's going to take some getting used to(again)...the power delivery is 'creamier' as another member said here.I only went out for a short 60+ mile ride...I'm sure there's lots more to this flash than I've accessed just today.I'm extremely happy with it....It is smooth...powerful...idles great....temps...lower.Fuel mileage..higher.Gear shifting...smooth...very.
You can't go wrong at all with Cblast's flash...it is everything he says it is....so I'll be running his flash now.I'll be dynoing this bird Friday....I'm very excited about the numbers.
Cblast...you know your shit...thank You...honestly...and Romes too....nothing taking away from you either.I'm just telling my experience here....I like the Cblast flash better....something going on with it that is visceral and obvious...very nice work C...very!Thanks you again my Bro for the shirt and the very very good flash;)
It's extremely hard to compare two flashes of this caliber and not feel like I'm hurting one or the others feelings. They are both excellent flashes...can't go wrong with either one...and they are evolving as well(C and Romes)in what they're trying to achieve here.I have to give the 'edge' to C....it's a very very good flash....There is a definite difference in midrange power feel...delivery...both strong..yet different...I have to ride this bike more now...the dyno will tell me a lot....
NOTHING I say here during comments about 'a difference' should be inferred that one or the other worked less at or doesn't have the skills or brains to achieve what the other does.No way...they're simply different flashes.I happen to like C's 'better'...for me.I was at no time disappointed with Romes flash....no way.
