Ok,, Im kinda on this kick to get this exhaust for my 2008zx14.

The guy selling his for $375+shipping is AWAL...

I think I seen someone break down the best new pricing on these,, but I cant find it.

Best I found was like $585 shipped.

This is for a 2008 zx14.

I have searched and searched,, I think somone said in a thread they seen one for $445 shipped.

O,,,,, I have heard a few sound clipps on youtube,,, I think it sounds very nice, deep and then it just ripps.

I dont think they will be too loud. More like just right,,,,haha,, bikes in our area dont have DB levels.

I think I will try out the saying "loud Pipes saves Lives".... O ya screw Harley's!!!!!!!

have the m4's on my 08 they do sound good not a loud as the d&d exhaust on my zx9 but your ears are ringin after a nice trip with the m4's lol $585 WAS WHAT I PAID NEW AND COULD NOT FIND EM ANY CHEAPER IS WORTH EVERY BIT OF IT THOUGH WELL GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH

I second all of what scott said even the price. Best money I spent on my bike, made it sound real sick...pull those baffles and she will get even sicker!

HAMR did u have to make any adj to your pc3 when you pulled the baffles?

I think I will wait till this guy gets back to the forum. I swear I seen a thread on exhausts and someone listed a few venders selling them and one was $445 shipped?

That might have been the introductory offer last year when they first came out. They were great slips for a low price.

good luck with that silv i had my pipes ordered a week before i got my bike and still ended up not getting them for 3 weeks think they are very popular now cause they were backordered from m4 u wont be dissappointed with them

And a slip on like this means you dont need a re-map correct? Just more so for a full header to muffler setup.

I wonder if there are more sound xlips for this m4 on a zx14 than I have seen. I caught about 3-4 clipps on youtube.

And from the one decent one I seen I really like how it sounds at idle ,, then at quick revs.. almost like a F1 car...hehehe.

You can remap, but you dont have to. Heck I ran mine with the slipons for a month with out a PC3. But if you have the PC3 then I would re-map. Re-mapping is not just for the full system, also used when putting on slipons.

If you ask me the 14 breathing out through the M4 cant be really caught on tape if you know what I mean. I have yet to hear a clip that makes it sound like it actually does. I mean it sounds fricken awesome, cant describe it, but no sportsbike I have ever owned sounded like this one with the M4s. It isnt a high pitched bitchy sound it is a low rumble, but not as low as a harley. Man its hard to describe, but you will like it!

exactly hamr and a totally different sound when u let off the throttle. but your right i took video of mine running and when played back it sounds totally different. but besides the m4's i installed a set of factory pro velocity stacks talk bout a distinct sound when getting into the mid range ....wicked

Ahhh yes, THE M4 FLY-BY. <<<<Music to my ears.

They sound great, they look great and they are light. I guess you can order them with db killer inserts. I found a reported 99 db for M-4s on a Bikeland post. A Brock's Smeg goes about 108 db and that isn't too loud at ordinary street rpm, IMO.....but I haven't ridden with one on the bike yet.

they are loud enough just took a 1000 mile ride and im still deaf lol

baffles easy to remove there is just a snap ring that holds them in so if yoou have one of those ring removers its a snap to be loud and proud

Nice job Scott,,, was that with the baffels in or out.... I think your garage is keeping alot of the revib going strong.

silvr that was with baffles in and yes i think the garage helped ive done it outside and playback dont even sound like the same bike

Well Scott if you get around to it??? I know it takes alot of time filmimg, uploading, ect...

But the more audio's the better. I have heard a few on youtube,,, and they all sound different. One was a couple latio guys revving thier zx-14,, and damnnnnnnnn it sounded like an F1 car. I wonder if that was baffles out?

Another was a fast fly by,,, and the only real good one was outside at idle,, then twisting maybe 75%.

How did the M-4s effect the performance of your bike? Detailed description from idle throughout power band would be great.

Are M-4s going to give me any decline in performance from stock pipes?

Rook its hard for me to say cause i added pipes and velocity stacks at same time 2 weeks after i bought bike so i was still in the break in period with the stock pipes. i can say without a doubt though that the 14 is one wicked bike ive only had it up to 150 mph so far but i can say it didnt take long to get it there. it has plenty of power all thru but really kicks up a notch in the mid range prob the stacks at that point ill know more when i get it to the dyno and get a good map for the stuff ive got in it.the m4's were nice cause they were inexpensive but i will eventually go to a full exhaust i like the single pipe.

Thanks, Scott. That helps a lot. I would think you would have noticed a big lag if there was one and the velocity stacks wouldn't have been enough to cure that. My guess is that the M4s are performing close to stock on the bottom end with the stock map and that's what i would be looking for.

Still remeber that mint set of M4s for $120 shipped in the Classifieds- someone got a killer deal!
