The Honda rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The riders reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place. All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department.
Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be new drivers, or new motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS A CELL PHONE!

Dido, I will try but I already know that I will fail. It would seem, when I'm on alert mode(focused)and playing my A game all is fine. The second I relax, that's when the near misses come into play. When the right wrist is turned, the bike and I are one. Sounds nuts, but I know who I am. I'm currently wondering why people are sending me all these gloom and doom vids. Are they trying to tell me something ? Paranoid maybe, but 2009 has been a tough year for me and these E-mails bring it all home. Maybe they helping in some way, this is why I pass them on. Agreed, and those times are when the cops see going just a little over the speed limit. I'm pretty sure none have seen me going really fast.

That kid was obviously not in alert mode if he was going that fast in the place where he had the accident coming around a corner in a residential area like that.

Nope, clearly not thinking. Rolling the dice and all 3 people paid with there lives. I would not want to the person that had to pull those people out of that car(yuk).

That's what I have been thinking. Giving me the creeps. Lost two friends in 09. One fell down the hoist way at work and the other swallowed a hornet out of a pop can. My sled has not moved. A riding buddy is in a wheel chair since May,
low speed accident resulting in him being thrown off
the bike and him crushing his lower back on the curb
of the sidewalk. A car cut him off and at speed within
35 mph he had nowhere to go and was instantly paralized
upon crashing to the ground with severed spine.

I know exactly what you mean with this one Mass. I have real visions in my head that I can assure no one wants.

What's bugging me is with these toys of ours you can't afford to lose your edge. You must be able to fully commit to each and every move without thinking. I'm NOW thinking. Not Good. I think we all know guys who ride like this(think 2 much).These guys always get more room from me. Because they think to much you can never predict what they are going to do. When riding there is no time for second guessing your decisions, it's just commit and do it. I was hoping all this gloom and doom would pass, but seems to be stuck to me like glue, can't seem to shake it and these videos are making me nuts. I need my edge, ahhhh. If it were me Rome-I'd just say "thank You Lord for giving me a heads up-it's snowing now, but when I start riding again,I'll keep my eyes open"(And then not worry about it)(which may take some work-take it for what it is IMO-a clear message from,well,you know who.He doesn't want anything to happen to you out there!)Be thankful and NOT afraid.

Cell phone jammer is an interesting and helpful device when we don’t want to be bothered by the cell phone noise. I just bought myself a cell phone jammer the other day, it is working great and BTW, it’s legal here in my country.

This could happen to anyone (honda rider). I have yet to pull nexy to someone and not catch them texting or on a hand held cell chatting! Sad!

This year I promised the wife that I would take it down a notch or take it to the track. I've been pretty good for the most part but temptation is hard to resist. You do need to exercise common sense. This guys was doing almost 140KPH in what sounds like a residential area. Very dangerous.

That's true too, 905, the element of risk, at double speeds adds a greater likely hood of disaster. I am trying to slow down, but fuck, the bike is like (according to Beast) Christine, she just wants to pull.

The pics are from a Swiss accident from 03 I think, it does give a good visual and makes a perceptible impact, so it works for a psa, a little gory for me....one of my favourite psa's...

Dam Bean, I've been laid up with back injuries and knee injuries... broken this, torn that. Had my head stapled together with 33 staples. But I would climb back on the back no matter what resultant injury took me out. We are a weird lot!
