yeah! The guy is doing 11 + track days this summer!!!!

Someone has to give Mass a run for his money.

The hump would make a great spot to rest the bar for a back squat!

When I first got the suit, I couldn't even raise my arms high enough to grab the bar.

If you get a suit, helmet, or jacket and think you should have gotten a size bigger, you probably got the correct size. Ideally I think I'd be a size 56 but because of my long limbs and my Hulk Hogan's biceps I have gotta go with a 58. Now I have gotta get more brawn to fill the rest of the jackets and suits lol

Can't make it up there this year Dogo, but, next year.....

I will be doing 12-15 track days this year(already done 3). They opened Gateway again, and I have a good friend that lives up there and we are already planning on one there next month.

Ideally I think I'd be a size 56 but because of my long limbs and my Hulk Hogan's biceps I have gotta go with a 58.

Biceps?... The Hulkster has pythons!
I'd think the torso would be too short for you in a size 46/56 one piece, DK... You're taller than me, and that was my biggest issue when I first got my 56... Granted, my gut was part of the problem... but the thing was really chokin' my scrote.

Can't make it up there this year Dogo, but, next year.....

I will be doing 12-15 track days this year(already done 3). They opened Gateway again, and I have a good friend that lives up there and we are already planning on one there next month.

... Now I'm jealous.

Bummer you can't make it this year, but the track will still be here next... Be nicer infact... As of now, there are no facilities and only 2 Honey Buckets (they were full before lunch ). Also, the plan is to put down another layer of asphalt down over what is there now. 40ft wide w/o the seam.

only 2 Honey Buckets (they were full before lunch ).

my first question when I got to Blackhawk Farms was , "is there a rest room around here?

The reply: "Oh, we usually just run back there in the weeds." Works for me. wouldn't be the first time after a long ride and several cups of coffee.

A lot of the track days are two day events is the only reason I will get that many in! And now Gateway, and possibly Hartland Park.

"Oh, we usually just run back there in the weeds."

Taking a leak (for me) is/was not the issue... and Lindsay is/was a trooper and pinched if off w/o complaint.
I'm sure they'll make sure to have more porta potties there next time... but if not, I'll start bringing my own (camper).

A lot of the track days are two day events is the only reason I will get that many in!

Nice... The only back to back days I've signed up for are with different Orgs. I'll be riding with OPRT one day and 2Fast the next.
There are other Orgs with 2 day events scheduled, but I have not pre-registered. Buying a season pass w/ 2Fast brought the cost down to $139 per day, and OPRT only charged me $140 per day since I paid before April 1st... I'll probably do days with other Orgs, but they were/are not offering big enough price breaks to make it worth signing up early... I know when they'll be out there, and if I'm not busy those days I'll just show up, cough up $200, and ride.

That is what I love about Hallett......there are no orgs to deal with! The owners of the track(Connie and her son Scott) put on the track days themselves. The cost is $100 for a single day and usually $190 if you do a two day. Novice class runs $10 more(help pay the instructors), and $30 for the HART class(required for first time track riders there). They are some of the BEST people that you could ever meet! They make you feel like family from day one. Oh....and you can camp at the track for FREE!

I'm feeling a little uneasy......just spent $150 on my track fee. New tires are $450 installed with tax. It's not so much the money just sort of jittery about going back to the track. Same thing last time. Sort of being thrown into a new situation and also some competitive feelind as well---I mean more competitive with myself but I DO want to go really fast. The ground is cold out there. I just started riding a little quicker on the street. Just got the 14 rolling this week. It feels good but overall I feel a little weird.

Wish I had a smaller bike now.

Ready for rd #2.

Paved paddock area is @ a premium, and it has been raining all day... gonna be muddy... so I'm dropping off my trailer tonight to claim a spot.
Forcast for tomorrow is 61 and sunny. The plan is to give the Pirelli slicks and warmers a go... practiced putting warmers on today in hopes of not looking like a fool.
Way more excited than any grown man should be!

Looks like you are all set, man. Tomorrow is your day? How cool.

I am starting to realise that I can't afford this. SHizzzzleeeee, Tires from track swapping to street bike (you can't use tires with less than 66% tread depth left on them and hell if I'm throwing them away), a tire changer, trailor, new bike >........????? not gonna happen. I may just go look at that black R6 in Cuhdahy though. From the sound of the ad, that dude is making a huge mistake. I couldn't tell him because I don't know him but somebody really should. Perhaps they are. I mean, he could sell the bike, sure but did you read this:

I'm getting married and the future wife said the bike needs to go. It's a 2005 Yamaha R6. Fully track ready and safety wired.

That sounds familiar somehow-----something rings a bell ----a distant memory from long ago....... hmmmmmmmmmmmm-

If a woman doesn't like what you like, sooner or later she is going to be walking around with your testicles and if you decide you want them back -----well, game over. Hope he figures it out quicker than I did.

I usually do back to back days at VIR, Summit, NJMP, Beaverun, Calabogie etc.
The only track that I would visit for just one day and then pack it all up and trailer home is Loudon, that's the closest at only 75 miles from Boston.

BTW, until you start riding in the advanced groups with numerous orgs and on numerous tracks,
you ain't giving me $hit! I'm a track day winner!

I'll try to log at least 20 days in this year, mostly on the 750 but would track the 10 too.

Better get a cheap, beat up 600 with a solid motor. I have seen one of the fastest local guy's bike and that thing was horrible. Track days are all about the thrill looking good is an after thought. I will be due for a tire change around end of May! I will have the Q2's mounted and go for a track day, I should have enough thread left to last me a couple of months. Then I'm selling the old camry and investing half in a track bike! I have had four warnings in the last four months!!!! Time to take it to the track.

I know!! LOL This dude is an instructor and one of the fastest in our locale. His bike is all scraped up, cracked off and and hastily fiber glassed......shheezE! Looks great as he screams past but a close look in the pits and you see that racing is not about pretty. All the ragtag, wired up shit and broken stuff that still works. This guy's name is Matt and he crashed that day. Hope he's around next Wednesday.

IDK we even have a local forum......but I am FB friends with the guy above and looks like he is friends with a lot of others. A lot of them are from the Chicago area. The sponsor of all the track days is my local dealer where I bought my bike. Sure think they would give me more info. MAybe I will attend the seminar in a few weeks. Pretty much just a way to rope people into coming to the track....and it already did its work on me last summer. maybe I will go again and ask about sharing $$$$ and transportation.

I saw a couple tiny open flatbeds big enough for 1 bike strapped down and that might just be exactly what I need for my limited space and towing capacity. Might be able to drag it over on the side of the garage and tip it up out of the way.
