It's a track bike. Or it is now if it wasn't quite before. Congrats. Glad you're ok.
a close look in the pits and you see that racing is not about pretty. All the ragtag, wired up shit and broken stuff that still works.
....and that is what track riding is about at the more serious levels of commitment. A second track bike would sure be nice, wouldn't it? I think I would have to admit my level of commitment was not high enough. But for you , maybe. Pick up a some heap and ride it while you fix up the first.

..and great attitude as usual. Man you just can't be broken, can you. Good for you.
After doing the mods, I'd be beside myself if I crashed the 14. That can't happen for a couple years. All the more reason to get a track bike.

You know what is fun about crashing? It makes you faster. Sets the hook even deeper than before.
Yep... In past the barb now fer sure.

... Gives 'em track cred... Good thing Linz's Mom is a seamstress though. I blew a couple.
The bike is fine. I missed one session putting it back together, cleaning out the mud (PITA w/o running water), and getting it re-teched... but the sliders and Woodcraft cases did what they were supposed to.

It already was... Still have the street stuff, but already planned on selling to pay for more track time.
Little sore today (to be expected), but no injuries... Shit, better than last time. I broke my finger hitching the trailer @ the end of the day and it still hurts like a sumbich!

We can all be broken... but a little get off @ the race track is far from my breaking point.
If you're worried about crashing the 14, take it down a notch... You wanna push it, pick up a track bike. ![]()

That's the plan. First track day and the weather does not look like it is going to be favorable---70% chance of T-storms. I will be riding down and I will get rained on at some point. Will NOT be wearing the new leathers. Still got the scrubs. LOL --as if I can afford to toss out any of my old gear!
I'll be talking to the track sponsor/dealership. The VP rides every event. He will be able to tell me what happens in the event of cancellation. I think they give go a portion off on the next event you register for.
These new tires I got are def NOT rain tires. I will be riding slow on the road if I go and it rains on me. ![]()

That's some very good form! Impressive for a track newbie IMHO.
Thanks, I appreciate that... I've been working on it. Putting my head where I'm used to there being oncoming traffic ready to take it off is taking some getting used to.
Crashes are only good when you don't get hurt and when you know what caused the crash.
Check and check. Was a simple and stupid mistake... Was still @ full lean when I whacked (rather than rolled) WOT.
I've been lucky so far in both aspects and I wish you the same.
Little bit 'o luck never hurts.

Those are some great pics! LOVE the exhaust vapors lol that is sweet!
You need to have some kinda backhanded good luck to get pics of a crash! If you think it happens quick for you it happens even quicker for an onlooker.
Good for you for finishing off the day. takes some stones.

Was close... Photog was there, but concentrated on T-14.

Took tools.
Had to fix bike twice... Once after the crash, and again after the PC3 took a shit.

hm? What was wrong with the PC??? Just a ground?
Nope, not the ground... Something internal... Has been acting up since I updated the firmware. Friday it quit powering up altogether and the bike would not start. Nels (guy who's tuned my bikes) gets re-furb service from DJ on the house. So, I'll have him send it in for me. 4-8 week turn around however. Put the bike back as close to stock as I could yesterday so that mapping shouldn't be too far off until I get it returned.
15 or so less hp will probably be a good thing (for a while) anyway. ![]()

I have 20+ pics of my get off at the track 2 years ago on the 14.....
Was it lucky to get it on film? I like it, If I'm gonna wreck I might as well memorialize it! hahaha

70% chance of rain for tomorrow.Screw it. I'm going.
30% chance of sun.
You'll have fun regardless... If raining, just go a little slower. Will allow you to concentrate more on lines and body position.
Pick up some of these:

LOL looks like you had the track almost all to yourself at first! I wonder why??
No one can say you're not a diehard track fiend.
In spite of the rain, moving at a pretty good clip around 11:00 and 14:00 going through that cool downhill chicane you have.
A rainy track day is something I dread but if I had a trailer and a vehicle to stay dry in for the trip to the track, I guess it would be yet another cool track experience. --not that I'd want it to happen real often. Blackhawk Farms is located in a magical non-rain on track days vortex. It has not been rained out in 8 years. Really that just means you need to be building an ark before they are going to cancel and refund! LOL
