Guys, same shocks WTF(dog your set boooo 4 me),looks heavier 210 HP at crank So what did we get, new plastics bigger motor with only 10 more hp(no Torque #'s yet). Got to be kidding. Yes I expected more, but ok. Let's see

Looks like the forks got new (better) springs but same bodies... I'm stoked that it looks like my Ohlins will swap when I get one... but like you, Romans, I feel let down and will not be rushing out to replace my '08. Heavier and longer swingarm are the two things I'm really not happy about... This thing did not deserve to get an "R" designation, IMO... still a zzr if you ask me.

Glad I had some really cool parts for my Jeep show up this morning... would be in a bad mood otherwise. lol

She looks really good. I was expecting more from the motor though! Kaw went for Suz jugular. Anyone see that clip with RG.. he walks up to the busa and unload the 14!!!!!! I'm saying it's a blow below the belt hehehehehe. Can we call it the fastest accelerating production vehicle or is the BMW still king? When my wife is going to see how you switch from single to 2 up she's going to give me the checkbook. Ok, maybe not but that stuff is james bond smooth, imagine leaving the bar with a sexy thing and "changing" the seat. If that doesn't do it nothing will. The dash looks awesome. TC and power modes? loool Hub's never going to come out of his garage loool. The thing I don't like though: exhausts. I'll prob buy some Akra before I get the bike cause I'm getting rid of it asap. I'm keeping my old 14 though, new 14 maybe 2013 fall.

Feast your eyes!!

Looks to me like lighter wheels closer to ZX-10r Also ABS
One piece/side fairng like busa (sorry, blue)hahah we will have to see if it is any easier to diassemble. lol. Ireally like the grills integrated with the V-hole.
Can't wait to hear about performance change but you guys know we will not get the true story for a couple years.Nobody buys a new bike and turns around and says "yeah, it's okay. A little nicer than the old one i had."

Compact.....refined.

Disagree...Even bigger than the old bike and they still can't get this section of the farings to fit together correctly.lol

I gotta see one in person.

That I agree with... but will have no problem waiting the one month between the San Mateo and Seattle IMS.

I do like the emphasis on the grills. Now that is total Ferrari! (Saw one at the gas station last week --a Ferrari).

Big pluses for traction control stolen from ZX10, and slightly lengthened swingarm hopefully to improve slow speed manners and make her feel less top heavy.

Weight reduction.... some, she will feel light to most of us.

She will also radiate more heat on us than ours do.

She will be quicker for us, but ours already can put us in jail so whats the point?

I think she is beautiful, but you can have her. Me no interested.

I don't know what you guys were expecting

I was expecting a zx14R... and that's not what we got, IMO.

Don't get me wrong... There are some nice upgrades... but there are a few things I would consider downgrades also.
Anyway, don't wanna be a downer so...
A few things I really like about it...
New face looks mean as hell!
That's a fine ass!
Wheels are 3.3lbs lighter!
Slipper clutch and TC!
IT HAS A REAL TEMP GAUGE!!!

I'll let ya know how it goes with the new beast later on!Someone said she'd be astronomical price wise....uh....this is where again?

See, If I walk in door a few years from now, with the same attitude back in '06, I know the fastest door to open come dealer time.

^^^^We knew it.

I don't think you will be disappointed, but I am not sure it will be enough improvement to go out and upgrade. You can wait a while blue. Listen to what the reviews reveal.

lengthened swingarm hopefully to improve slow speed manners
I fail to see how that will improve handling especially at low speed. Seems like something of more value at high speed where the suspension needs to react faster from one rise to the next. The busa, with its extra inch of wheel base, does ride smoother than the 14 . The 14 doesn't feel as planted over pavement that is less level. I think the swingarm lengthened will be an improvement if they managed to make it feel better in cornering at the same time.

ASSthrow someone under the bus? How much is it? I'm taking a break from tag teaming two freak inn harleys that clog my only place of solitude. No parts or more, need spacers made for the front wheels. If I could put all the crap on this old bike, I can take the crap off that new bike.

You boys go nitpicking now. I'm going to the dealer show and will scout that baby up its flat header. Did you catch that one pipe or squeeze me later, I see some weird stuff to play with, on top of the head cover looks like?

Man that secret was well kept. Brocks had 1 and there was no leaks!!! those exhausts look good on her! Keep us posted Blue. I'm going to wait and see. I need a track bike and a Toyota Tundra more than anything. The new 14 look awesome but I opened the garage this morning and my 06 still look sexy.

I don't think Kawasaki's gonna put an R on the end there...unless...she actually CAN be raced.FunZone ahead...get yer ticket now!!!!! Kawasaki.

That's another check in the YES column for making the purchase! Working up my speech to the wife abot how I need to get a new bike... be practicing in a mirror will start soon, have to get the sad puppy dog eyes down before I pitch it to her...
