I love this color scheme BTW. Not a fan of the big "Ninja" lettering, which they also did for the 2020 bike, but that shade of gray w/ a tasteful amount of green looks very nice.

Thanks Z for the new model intro. No zipper, no cc change, new dash, new mapping. And I'll wait for Ivan/flash boys to tell us the ECU is a lockout. Oh well. So it's city/race, or sport/race. You figure the one is aggressive for drag boys/girls to re-up the hardware.

I'm pretty sure the Ninja lettering is a sticker. I think the bike would look very classy with no green. It's a great color and would look great with my BST wheels. By middle of next year I should have 80K miles on my bike. Might be time.

But the black and grey scheme around the front turn signals, turns me off. What is with Kaw. Can they not choose one color or even two colors.
But then again, I would like to see the bike in the solid grey.
I have taken my gunmetal grey 2016, and totally blacked it out. Had the pegs, pedals, heel guards and all removal parts power coated semi-gloss black like the frame.
Next is to figure out how to get the bolt heads powder coated.
Black screen, turn signals and brake light.

I wonder with the rumor of the Zx14r being dead, does it not also open the door a crack for future updates and even an increase in cc’s. Who knows what the future holds. But for know I will ride the rubber off of my bike. I may even look for a second low mileage blue 2012. Nothing wrong with owning two, other than insurance.

I've had many K bikes. Kawasaki is not known for the best color choices. My 2012 blue is, in my opinion, the nicest color they've ever produced.

Let's hope for a ZX-15R.

Call me stuck in my ways, I can not warm up to the adventure touring motorcycle. I want a mid weight sports tourer for my last 15 years of bike riding. I have not seen it yet, but I am hoping it will show up.

BTW, "in my opinion", the midnight blue sapphire gen 1 was the coolest color, but my metallic matte carbon grey gen 2 will do for the next few years...

Amen to that. But wasn’t the 2012 and 2007 the same color, I had both, and they looked the same to me.
The gloss black was cool too.
I was just revisiting the sites that predicted the end of the 14. I guess they got it wrong. Kinda makes you snicker when you read the old articles.
I remember 100 years ago, owning the original H2, and reading an article about kaw producing a 1000cc two stroke. They had me drooling. But pollution requirements killed it, I suppose, or it was all speculation.

But man oh man, I can still picture a 1k widow-maker.

i guess i should apologise having posted originally that the 14 was in its last year. Im glad she continues even if im unsure about next years colors! Its a personal thing i know whether it be riding position, the power, its ability to do long distance in comfort and of course legendary reliability to me there is nothing to compare.

ZXAdventure, back in the 70's I rode an S2 Kawasaki 350 triplet two stroke. It would constantly scare the sh!t out of me. Sometimes literally. With the ZX14, not much has changed...

I had every bike in that series. The 250 avenger, was insane for a 250. After riding Honda’s, the 250 was a rocket, like the Yamaha rd. I worked my way up to the h1 500. I had 4 of them. Total 3 of them. I had the 750 until the CA courts made me sell it. The bad thing about the 750, is it was a 500, with bigger jugs. Transmission could not hold up to the power, especially if you tricked it out. I have say, that was the scariest bike I have ever ridden. 10 speed bicycle frame and no brakes, to speak of. The front wheel would come up every time you hit the pipe hard.

To me the whole adventure bike thing seems like the SUV craze back in the day where the advertisements were for offroad adventures and then people bought like hotcakes and 99% never saw more than a gravel road lol. I think these bikes may be jack of all trades but master of none.. mind you i haven't ridden one so maybe they are the shit?

I dont see this happening since they just went to the trouble of meeting the EURO emissions standards that just changed. Hayabusa will not be sold in Europe for this reason but will continue in the U.S. I think thats what started all these rumors.

If you look at Suzuki's website the Busa is there for 2020. It's missing from the 2021 lineup.

Resurrecting an old thread ... partially cuz I'm wondering if the ZX14 is a goner now as some of y'all were thinking back in 2020 ... but also cuz I judy realized something: "Adventure" bikes remind me of the current massive crop of mid-size SUVs ... crossovers I guess they call them. Seems every single manufacturer makes at least one, they're everywhere like locusts, or love bugs here in FL ... and they're nearly all just so bland looking and cookie cutter. Prob OK at a lot of things but not great at any ... and apparently that's good enough for a LOT of people.

End of rant. For now!

No the 14 is here for some time. It doesn't look like Kaw is developing the H2 to replace the 14R, at least not for now. They'll keep the 14R in production just to give the Hayabusa some competition.

Google says, "Kawasaki has designated 2026 as a "skip year" for the Ninja ZX-14R, meaning a new 2026 model does not exist. Due to stable inventory leftover from the preceding year, the company skipped production for 2026 without discontinuing the legendary 1,441cc hyperbike line."

Which seems to mean demand is low, which may be due to economic issues, smart phones continuing to take over peoples' lives, or some other factors ... but this being the first "skip year" for the ZX14, doesn't seem like a good sign.

Might mean a new model and assembly line parts have changed. Line like new body panels, new frame, new engine block castings, etc.
