QWelcome to the zx9 family, with proper jetting and a Muzzy, 4 degree advancer and watch the heck out, if you really want to hunt busas with it, a 1001 motor kit will put you out in front of them and YES with that bike!!!!!

Talked to my friend that had the zx9r again. he started with just a slip (muzzy?), Ivan's stg 2 jet kit, k&n, +4 advancer, and -1 +3 or +4 gearing. made over 140 rwhp (maybe 144?). After that he got a muzzy header, and re dyno'd and made almost 150. In 2003. It was a bad machine. Our other friend had an 03 Gsxr 1k and he was a little slower also. He had gearing, a slip on, and a PC IIRC.
I could keep up on my 03 R1 (made 140ish), but especially with the gearing mods would get walked a bit. My bike was lighter, but I'm heavier so it was about a wash. With our bikes being pretty close on the dyno, the big difference had to be ram air at speed. IMO Kawasaki has always had the best out there. It does make a diff.
Might be hard to find a full system, but if you can; its a proven mod on that bike.

Rod,
Thank you for this information Bobby914 and Cblast had told me some things about her capabilities. CBLAST is looking for a Muzzy 4-2-1 full system. I think he has a line on one. If he does, I am treating her to a pipe and carb kit.
The. Bike is fun. I spent two days cleaning her up and she looks the money. I'll post some pics soon.
