New Busa Hub, where are you getting your information?

Took the words right outta my mouth... I was gonna ask that same question... In fact was almost ready to start a new topic on it... Haven't heard anything have ya Hub? I'm interested to see what Suzy might do... After the "new" gixxer 1k, I have been starting to wonder if they are currently even capable of putting that much dough into a new Busa? If anything, I am just expecting a refresh like the gixxer.

Went to a factory display recently. Asked if I could sit on the Busa. Looked like an old 1999, but with subtle changes like the 14 is doing. I asked the guy about valve service intervals? He brings the head tech cheese over. We begin discussing old days about dealer level shop talk. He's a Suzuki employee.

I dissed the bike saying it was awfully heavy and not my kind of bike. I mention the 14 is much lighter. I didn't say how light mine was to compare. We came around in conversation about he and the other guy mentioning Suz is coming out with an all new fleet up and down is it. So get ready for the dealer show and whatever is motocross, custom, street, off/on, sport, you name the wheel and the lineup, it is across the board is how I read their signals.

Too many 14 jumpers and I'd be on the drawing board trying to return them back into the fold; but that is just DIS roundeye speaking. They didn't say IF the busa was going to have an uplift. They just said 'product line.' Just because I'm assuming. Jus so you know, everything is hush-hush with the industry culture of keeping you in suspense. Proud of hiding those (lost sale) piles I guess?

Some pan out. Some are duds who called the ball on this and it went nowhere because it just looks it.

I'd be very surprised if the Busa received anything more than a facelift and tummytuck. Suzuki's broke, their bikes aren't moving. They're caught in a classic death spiral and will have to claw their way back. No sales, no money for R&D, no R&D, no sales. On the other side of the coin, BMW seemingly can do no wrong.

The full effects of the market crash of 2008 are now being fully felt. Manufacturer's that had new projects already in the works, i.e. BMW, Ducati, Aprilia, MV Augusta and Kawasaki have the advantage. Everyone else has stale product on the shelf. Not to say they're bad, just getting a bit long in tooth.

Hmmm... Be interesting to see what Suzy has cooking!!! But I will be very surprised if they put out anything new anytime soon...

No money, their sales are way down I hear. They're going to have to dig deep and get some excitement going. I think they should buy up a bunch of S1000RRs and reverse engineer 'em, pay BMW back for ripping off there K5 Gixxer.

Next Gen Busa is going to have over 200 HP rear wheel to dethrone the 14R and handle. They need to trim some fat too, it's going to take a ground up redo to make it happen. Can you say Big Bucks?
