HEy men off the subject but same thing the "touring" cars here cost half a million $$$$$$$ + + + if the GMH/FORD win they will go out and buy them truely it sells but the shell is the only thing in common with what they "RACE" !!!! THE same as in "GP" they do help sales but anyone with some sense knows a litre bike isn't in the same class as what we ride !! "SPORT TOURER" and how many day/weekend riders are worried about point what of a second when we use our machines.if ya need to save that tiny amount or differance then go "professional" and get a sponcer u will need it!! besides who keeps the top dog "MANTLE" more than a few years !!! hey if its the best now fer how long, + its taken along long long ------------------------------------- long time to catch up with the japs!!

I think that might come to end sooner than you think. Go log on to the S1000RR forum and check out all the mechanical and electronic faults they are uncovering. Makes the Jap stuff look pretty well sorted, which they are......sorta.

yeah I was lurking today they seem to be having more than a few motor failures. For a first year bike with zero history to build on that sounds about right. I damn sure would not buy a used one out of warranty at any price. If you look at the number of failures reported on that forum versus the number of bikes made it seems the failure rate is pretty darn lown. Although most people who bought the bike don't use that forum so who knows. The bike comes with a two year warranty for a reason I guess . I bet BMW will get it figured out before it spins out of control. When the motor runs it really runs a stock one just set a world record it went 196 mph yes stock. In fact it was a dealer demo model
