Well...I guess I kinda feel the same...I really am not afraid to 'die'....it's gonna happen regardless.I trust I'm gonna meet God as well.So I don't 'worry' about dying.

I'm hopin yer leg's doin good Bean....lots of corners and all to carve!We have great bikes.I'm very happy with mine.That's a nice 750 ya had there.I always wanted to get a CB750...way back when.Never could though.Things got in the way.Probably a good thing!Doubt I'd be here right now if I had got that 750.

YEH blue07 it amazes me that nearlly all ZX1400 bros should have this sort of thought as well because in reality we do naturally Face that prospect every time we ride hey !

Dang Bean, that's some pretty good testimonial to wear your full gear all the time! Maybe they should pass a law down here in Texas where we have no helmet law, if you're going to ride lidless you have to watch 10 hours of these videos. Might make some folks think twice.

Good news is the gear is getting better all the time, like with the RS Taichi T-Raps airbag system and of course the spine protectors and such. The stuff looks cool IMHO, why not wear all of it unless you just think you are invincible and can't crash....Not!

Ever since I started my trade as a Boilermaker/Fitter/Welder Kruz i,ve broken all the rules when it come to indangering my self through very risky work that most wont do LOL I,ve got some nasty scars just from my "Trade" Hey the last year or so before my stack I started fall in line with the "Gay Rules" @ work LOL

Yeh kruz hey aint it amazing with the advancement of protective Riding Gear getting developed nowa days forsure,here cause of the stats on rider Deaths,permanant disablement ( I nearly got that one hey)or permanent disfigerment, massive fianancial LOSS ! (I got that one Around $50,000 loss in 14 months)stress on ya yer family/friends/police/Ambo's/Doctors the medical system & All of fellow Tax payers ! I,ve read my Surgery costs R close too $150,000 so far so if not for our "invinceable selfs" then for all the other reasons IMO mentioned,These adds on TV here R for all bike riders to do the right thing now! & if we all dont start to ware the right gear they will just make it Mandatory for us

They can say they don't wear helmets for whatever reason, but the reality is most of them bought a HD so they could look cool. What good is looking cool if nobody sees your face?

I had my first wreck 3 months after I started riding. I was wearing a Bell. 45mph and I split it from the visor to the back. The only time I ever rode without a helmet was the two blocks after that. I got stopped by a cop and didn't even know where I had put my helmet. I undoubtably had a concussion and would have died without the helmet.
My other wreck I got hit from behind coming to a stop, totaled my bike and, again, split the chin part of the helmet.
I would say that twice my helmet saved my life.
As far as others, you are welcome to NOT wear a helmet, we always need organ donors.

That's sad but it's prob the truth 90 % of the time. The rest prob do it cause they like harleys and wanna belong to a group. I hear guys talking about kawa versus suzuki, 14 vs busa all day long but I know more than half of the guys on this forum wouldn't mind trying a busa especially if they were more comfy. I have a friend who has a Harley and always wear a helmet who told me he liked the new BMer but was afraid his buddies wouldn't let him ride with them if he got it. This is the kinda of pressure a harley guy faces... thanks but no thanks. I rather wear my helmet and hang with the cooler crowd on japanese AND german bikes

Ya know when yer down an out like I am! how Great the so called group is ??????????? well I can tell ya ive seen my Riding work mates once in hospital twice at home in nearly 15 months! yet my old EX High School/work mate/bike rider best mate "GOODY" is about the only one that has gone out of his way untold times to talk go out & just have some great outings, i,ve been to work a dozen + times I have gone out my way to see my Work Riding Buddies an for over the last 15 months they tell me im still gunna drop by to see ya mate Not!Allthough I wore only denim jeans hey at least I wore most the gear!, the main lesson for me is the "Less ya wear the more ya Hurt" & if ya Lucky like me ya might have ONE Great friend when ya really need them to stand with ya fer the Long Haul to recover, its like when ive stood up to my many bosses over 32 years with the backing of my work mates! Over many years i,ve got Yeh Stevo were with YA ! right up till ya face out with him & they all run away! leaving ya to deal with him by yaself! LOL Bros because when push comes to shuv ya may only have Family & a Rare friend when the time arises. hey my plan worked out great to insure my bike full comp but not to ride four months ago, because of my stack my Insurance at best was gunna go up 75-100% to over 2k so I got a non ride policy cheap with house/contents & my wifes new car included !then as my bike had to go 36kms to my Tunner I thought today I better see about upgrading my Ins. to ride again, And OH Hell Yes! the premium including my wifes $36k Falcon came in at just a bit over $1600 per year, thats bloody brilliant as the best price for the ZX14 new was $1150 per year before my Big Off ! be very very carefull for what for ! as in my lucky case im gunna start riding again now just before my 49th
