I don't have any help for this issue, just
a side note with my '13.
Yesterday, my bike sat in direct sunlight
in the am,
and it was already hot out for being early
in the day,
when I went out to leave the clock was faded quite a bit,
the later it rejuvenated, I'll test tomorrow with
a towel over it, parked in the same orientation
and see if the clock part of the display is
prevented from degrading.

Here's another side note: Zero Gravity windscreens have always included a warning with all of their windscreens about leaving the bike in the sun. According to them, a windscreen could act as a lens possibly causing damage by concentrating light on the dash. Never heard a motorcycle manufacturer mention this for an OEM windscreen.

From what I've read and seen in videos,
the double bubble style/models are the culprits,
when the sun angle is straight up or forward,
the bubble sections act as a magnifier, which
doesn't seem right now that I think of it cause
they bubbles are 'out' radiuses not in, however, it might be
the junction between the bubbles and the main
part of the screen that create that magnifier effect.

IDK. I always put a cover over the whole bike if it was going to be left out all day.

Good call, I only have it in the sun while getting coffee,
I was covering the dash in the winter,
I lost the habit somewhere along the line, but will
have to get back to it.
