Hey bud! I have not run those new road III's, I LOVE THE POWER 3's though. Here is why: I rode my ass off with Dogo the other day. I learned a bunch about my tires. There was one time during that ride I had a oops moment.
Oops moment: dogo's leadin, I'm trying to keep pace without overworkin the bike, I got a little sucked in by his track style brakin (leave the guy behind with no idea ur brake mark by using engine brakin only), so I'm comin in hot, focused, I downshift hard as I grab some brake, the ass end breaks loose and I'm trying to time my swing dip to coincide with throttle app, this way the front stays planted. This is on the street, with bumps and rocks etc. :)) I pick my line fast and dip release trail brake ease on throttle with ass end skipping around, and bam, out that fing apex with the front end clawing for sky. I was maybe 12-15 mph too fast on corner entry and not only did the tires never ever put a foot wrong while skittering and bumpin the whole time, they made me feel like my goofy assed antics were still WELL WITHIN their limits. Felt like a ridgid sidewall track day tire to me! But is holding up awesome to mileage. I paid attention to that mistake, never made it again. The tires gave me the confidence to deal with that moment instead of worrying about adhesion. They had plenty left.

Oh, I run 38 f / 39 r for pressure. From everything I hear the road 3's are just as good. Difference being that extra 10% track focus with the power 3's. I need that cause I ride like retard. If ya ride with less reckless abandon, say, your bike never tries to swap ends on ya at least once during every ride, the road 3's would be perfect! Ride retard = power 3's.
