Slow, I just purchased the front upper cowl in carbon fiber from MDI.

Anything else I need to get while I'm waiting for it ?

privateer, shouldn't need anything else as its supposed to be a direct bolt on.

But...

Be prepared to do some "fitment".. It took quite a bit to get mine to fit decent.

I had to trim the flanges (for lack of better terms) off my mirror blockoffs (i'm assuming the mirrors are the same way, i can't remember). The stock fairing is thicker in that area, and the 'flanges' fit in the holes in the fairings and line up with the fairing stay. The CF is not as thick, and does not line up. In order for it to look decent, you have to grind the 'flanges' down flat with the face of the mirror (or blockoff in my case). Even then, since it doesn't line up exactly if you look at my bike in person and real close you can tell its not quite right.

By all means, try everything before you trim anything. I had everything off and back on about 10 times before i was convinced it was good enough.

PS.. have fun with the headlights... heh heh heh

Thanks, Slow.

I just also purchased the side set, which attach at the top to the front cowl piece. Do you remember what pads (etc.) you had to buy for them?
