Romans, I bought the Shorai charger thinking I would need to charge the new batteries to 100% but they were already
there.

I have not touched the CBR Shorai in over two years now and it spins that motor FAST. I'm wondering if I should even mess with balancing the cells although it's done by the charger automatically, plug and play.

Kruz I'm thinking you guys in Dallas need nothing, but this Batt tech has not made it's ten year yet so who knows ? We here in snowy north are subjecting these things to extreme cold. I'm sure my quick starts would be considered abuse to Shorai. Currently can't do much to change it. If our temps are 93 diff you guys will never need that charger lol.

balancing the cells although

For the last three months I have been pulling bikes out side on the weekends while I work on finishing the garage. The bikes stay out side from Friday night to Sunday Night. They only run long enough to get condensation out of the exhaust.

In my case pretty sure a charge and a balancing would not hurt. Standing voltage is 2 low.

Shorai sold out of chargers,,, Go figure. Where did you buy it from ?

I'd stick with what we know works. that's my philosophy on modding. We already stuck our necks out buying the Shorai and so far seems to have been a good risk. If I switch to some other newfangled aftermarket battery, I will have to wait to hear the reports. The Shorai fits the bill really well and I don't see anyone making a great improvement on them for some time.

My bike was not eager to start afters sitting a few weeks w/o charger in a unheated garage with 30 F weather outside. Backfired a couple times. Started on the third try. Maybe just a need to finish off the tune up with new spark plugs and T-body sync. The battery turned the motor about as good as the stocker would have AFAIC remember.

That vid is in Plymouth, WI which is just up the road from me. You'll notice that is a Hardly the guy is using to demo. That's what you see a lot of around here.

I have the Shorai LFX 14 in my CBR, cranks like a beotch after two weeks sitting in the cold but it's a smaller motor than your 14 Rookster.

My shorai manual says the charger analyzes and balances the cells. How do you download the data to your PC or is this even possible?

There is a special USB port on the charger that can be connected to some kind of special analyzer but it says For factory use only.

By PC you mean Personal Computer, yeah. Not Power Commander (but wouldn't that be cool!!?).

I remeber reading about that. I don't know where, perhaps it was instructions with the Shorai maintainer. I DO recall whatever I read pretty emphatically saying DO NOT 'F' WITH IT. That is strictly the domain of the Shorai God Technicians if your maintainer should need to be sent to Shorai Valhalla for service.
