I will ride harder, crash more often and do more track days.

That's true. There's a number of ways to look at it. Hate to bring it up but if you are going to get tickets, that might cost you as much as track riding and still you don't actually get to own the bike or ride on the track. I've thought of it in those terms. Of course riding fast and being ticket free on the street sounds like a good plan if you can't afford to ride on a track every month. but you never know.... you Texas guys seem to have good luck with the law though.

Yup those zx10s are slow bikes just ask Melandri or Biaggi what they thought about Tom on the 10,Hey Mass how you doing? Will you be going up to Calabogie to feed the blackflies and mosquitos this spring

Hi! I will be going to Calabogie this season, July or August most likely.

Unfortunately my guys at Boston Moto don't have any dates planned for spots with any Canadian track orgs after this accident a couple of summers ago, it was just a very bad day

http://www.triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=54627

The guy who was air lifted after the crash is our tuner from CT, he had to retire from riding. He owns this:

Great tuner for anybody near CT btw!

Masszx14 John at Dyno Solutions is a real good guy! I go see him a few times a year mostly after I make more changes to my girl! lol He does a real good job. I have to go back there in a few weeks so I can have him help me with my second map for my 40 shot of NOS. John put his duck back together and I'm pretty sure he has gotten back on her and done a few track days... Track days a great but you always have to remember it’s for fun and part of that fun is coming home safe so you can tell friends about it! O and buying the great photo’s of me passing some guy that looks like he racing Moto GP on his 1198s! LOL

Hey Drag the bike looks GREAT!!!!!

Drag I'm sure you know this already but the BST wheels are the best thing I've done to my girl for sure! Makes her feel like a much smaller bike and rides like a dream. On my first turn in I almost went down because it turned in SO fast!

You'll all have to wait a few months but if you want to see bling...just wait! I think my 14 is going to be one of the more glitzy bikes on the forum. It might be pushing the boundaries of taste (even more) might as well. At this point, I'm not worried about bringing the bike back to stock.

Certainly not the place but the pic above reminded me that I have a few new and low mileage Vortex sprockets in 530
for the BST wheels- 41, 42 and 43T. I think I only rode on the 42T.

I've probably mentioned it but the BST wheels are coming off my 14 and they'll roll on my gen 4 10r.
I'm doing the osr conversion for zx10 wheels on the 14, can't justify street riding on cf wheels and tracking the 10 on oem wheels anymore, it's just a waste IMHO.

And yes- any bike handles better on BST wheels but for street riding I've concluded that they are just not needed.
IMHO a street bike will benefit more from an aftermarket suspension parts than lighter wheels, the oem suspension on the 14 is absolute garbage.

Yeah so far so good. This place is definitely better than NE. They are places in the country where you know you won't be bothered. Still you have to be weary of the impromptus deer road block!

That's a good idea!

That's good to hear! My 14 wanna be like yours when she grows up
Those CF ram tube covers look good but I wonder if will be too much, especially since I wanna get the BST's.

You know I thought about that and concluded the opposite. My reasoning behind was that if I put BST's on already light liter, I won't be wanting to ride the 14 anymore. I'm trying to make the 14, handle like a liter but I wanna bridge the gap the most I can this way, when I can't make it to the track, I can enjoy taking the 14 on back roads and little trips.

Dude you have to be most patient person I know. I would had those wheels on the bike even if the only tool I had was a fork! I just heard to many good stories about the handling and braking with light weight rims.

Mass your right on the stock set up but as you know you can re valve and spring it to where you need to be for sure. I've had mine gone through and it works great for sure.....

I agree, the suspensions SUCK, especially for a heavy bike like that but it's much better after the upgrade.

Almost Done...... Again, hopefully this time I won't jinx myself. I'm still waiting on the lowers (back ordered) but I'm thinking about going with the 09 monster edition one, just like Somefun's. I like the glossy finish. The tank needs to be repainted, and the left can and rear plastic needs to be replaced. I'm just going to wait until I'm done with my track days for the year... you just never know A reflash, custom tune and few trivial things and I'm finished!

I love the Rizoma Next fluid tank. I thought they wouldn't clear the fairing and windscreen but they did!!!
This girl at work told me a guy was looking at the bike on the parking lot and this other woman told him: "nice bike"... the dude replied: "thank you" LMAO
