Yoshimura R&D’s innovative exhaust design drastically improves mid range power between 4,500-7,000 rpm by up to 8HP and 10ft-lbs, all while producing less emissions by utilization of a 3-way catalytic converter.

Yoshimura is full of shit if they want us to believe this clogged up slip on makes 8hp and 10ft of tq between 4500-and 7k when the open slip on with a PC will not make those gains. I bet you will lose 8hp up top if anything. Oh well I'll run a normal pipe and just ignore the law like I have always done. I don't even know anyone that has ever been given a ticket for an open exhaust on a bike but I have neve lived in Cali either

never had any legal trouble with the Cannon and it is about as open as open gets. I'm sure they hear me coming though.

Caledon township just west Toronto have passed a noise bylaw .They will be using the SAE J2825 standard, meter placed horizontally 20 inches away from the pipe on a 45 degree angle, meter set fast speed A weighted.A four cyl cant exceed 92 db at an idle and 100db at 5000 rpm.My S-Meg can pass only at an idle.If I repack the baffle it may pass at 5000 but not for long.I have two options a Brock noise plug or go see Lang Hindle and change my mid pipe and relace the meg with a 20 inch can.Fines will start at 150 you may be fined for idle and 5000 rpm failures. All this because a bunch of harleys decided to rev there motors at the same time during a town meeting.I know my pipe is loud and I due use restraint, and try to respect others,I have noticed noise fatigue on long rides, as nice looking as the meg is I see a titanium oval can in the near future

It looks like thats the only kind of choices californians who buy a bike after 2013 are going to have......poor suckers I'd just buy a pre 2013 bike, mod the hell out of it, and wheelie by the new all stock bikes with a big grin on my face
I know....I'm Bad
