G'day SPORSTMAN just remember too give it a light rub where yer painting with a very fine 1200 grade wet rub before you paint it mate! not saying you don,t know how ! LOL HA ha just that I don,t know what trade/work you do so it,s so you prep it for 100% job on it buddy ps. for the lines I went to an auto shop and got that 1/4" wide plastic masking gear for fine detailing lines,then lapped it with 3/4" normal masking tape hey mate my M O F is fed up of the 14 different AC/DC ones I Wear nearly all the time

Paint leached under the tape for some reason.

Pissed me off, and I'm not a quitter so tried something different on the other side and it worked better.

This is sweet, I've been kicking around the idea of doing mine since last summer - but would be the polar opposite as my '08 is silver, so I would mask them and spray the fins black.......glad to see someone did it, you just enticed me to finally tackle mine this year -- kudo's to you sir!!

Matt black is sweet with the silver.

Took it a step further this afternoon.

Took the front fender off to install a Fenda Extenda, and decided this would be the time to do the strakes as well.

As long as the fender was off removed the panels.

I like it.

Well, I did the Foremans and I think it looks good. Did the fender too, but that was a fail. I didn't scuff them first so it peeled off when I too the masking tape off. Oh Well, at least I got all of the paint off of them and it looks good again.


I think I am addicted to customizing. fortunately, I can't think of much else to do, lol.

Cool. In that light, the frame is taking on a golden hue like the forman. I could see a gold frame and swing arm on that bike some day.

Rook, ya got me thinkin about that for a minute. I took the pic just before sunset, so that is why the light looks like that. But, I think I have too much black and chrome to add gold to it. Honestly, I am not too fond of the Red, although I think it looks good, I would rather half a dozen different colors.
