your bike looks awesome, elroy!

they are straight at 3 miles & 2 1/2 miles. We have enough room to open up are bikes wheelie & just play it cool. Tell me what you guys think.

I think I'm about due for a vacation to Orlando. You mean there are no popo on that road?

My neighborhood is really quite and i'm at a loss when it comes to leaving and arriving at night!!

I can relate. Only thing that helps is to keep the garage closed while she warms up. My window panes still rattle in the apartment which is 40 feet from the garage!

Rook. We have a few roads to name that are like that. The one we were on is behind the airport. Not a lot of heat. The roads were empty. We had relatively a small grouP of guys to keep it simple. We had a security guard pass & flash us. I started walking towards the car. & he ran out of there like cockroaches with the lights on.
We have another that's 20 miles straight. The only bad part some places it's 2 lanes sprinklers & wooded so animals. We have a few places to ride. Room I need some help ur the only other human I know with the cannon. What are some things u have done w/ the exhaust and w/ me having an 07 what do I need to do to wake up the bike in lower gears? I was considering changing the sprocket but u can't hold the top end doing that.
I'm a cheeseburger or 2 away from 300 6'5.. I was surprised the bike picked up in 1st on me with the throttle slammed open!!
Any advice helps..
Thanks..

ur the only other human I know with the cannon.

LOL, I'm not quite human!

I never found the bottom to be flat on mine but It's the 08 which as you prolly know is the year they started fly opening at about 3.5 The motor isn't making enough torque below 3 K to wale on it. You got a clutch for that. and if you're on it, you won't see 3K any more until you slow down.

07 opens full at about 6K which is an awful lot of the useable powerband compromised for sport riding and racing. You just need to remove your flies. Then you will control the intake instead of the computer.

I removed flies on my 08 even though they open at ~3K. Not a big change for 08-11. For you, that is gonna unleash the beast within. All the 06-07 guys say their bike was running the way it should after flyectomy.

As for the Cannon, I didn't feel like that pipe caused any loss of power on the low end. Been a long time now but if the bike is not making optimum power below 3K as it was with stock exhaust, the deficit would be very insignificant---especially for racing purposes (see above comment re: you got a clutch for that).

Do you have a map for the Cannon, 06-07 ZX-14? That may help some and IMO that is the safe way to run so you don't worry about running lean. Your 07 is not mapped with lots of fuel below 6K because the flies were never intended to be open. I would get a PC with a proper map in there. PC3 is fine. PC5 is better, IMO especially if you are gonna find the time to screw around with self tuning. My map was from HPC (High Performance Cycles now out o business unfortunately). It was from a tune on an 08 ZX-14 with Cznnonn full system, BMC Race filter, flies in. Ran good. I did one adjustement with AutoTune and that made it extremely smooth transitioning at the flies open phase. I think the fuel and the air were balanced about perfect. I can still feel a little zing at 3.5K sometimes. Very subtle.

SO, I think PC with map and pull flies. Then just focus on dumping weight off the bike. It can lose 90 lbs if you change wheels and go to lightweight battery. You already dumped a big load off by going to that ful system. As I mentioned in an earlier message to you, the Cannon is a nice, high quality, sweet sounding pipe that makes great power and looks cool all at the same time but you can get systems that weigh almost 10 lbs less. That muffler is quite a club. I'm not about to switch but I'd go Akrapovic Evolution or Brock CT if I could get a hot deal on a used one.

you might be still be able to hit 186 if you gear down some. 17/43 maybe? IDK? you wanna go 200 you will be best to stay stock or even go to a 40 T on the back.

I have 17/45 and it still has a lot to go in 5th gear even after 130 mph. Would do at least 160 mph, i imagine.

Yea you need to get the fly’s out and just make sure you heat the bolts up on the butterfly’s to break/melt the lock tight and use a brand new #2 screw driver. And a PC with a good map!

Am running a 43 on rear of mine. Helped significantly on the bottom. Have not completely opened her up since the change, but know 150+ is attainable. Indicated 160s. Speed is off by 10 mph according to GPS. Will do a Speedo Healer at some point.

Mine is an 06 with flies out. Stock exhaust.

I would almost bet the Cannon held up well enough to keep running on the bike after the crash. Mighta actually protected the bike some?

The bitch almost killedme. My gear is the only thing that saved my life. Helmet, jacket is ate up. Jeans shredded. Lost 65% of my skin is gone. Bike is totalled. The cop figured since I'm 23 that it was my fault. The lady cut me off to get home. She turned into her neighborhood. 6 pins 8 screws in my left arm later she changed the story to highway patrol. She was elderly. I had hid's on high. I'm officially broke the fuck up.
Rook the cannon emblem is gone the side fairings are done. It was All Star wknd. The blued emblem on the cannon is done it just suffered minor scratches. Going to polish it out.
The crazy part is I'm still in hospital & everyone said I flipped on the lady over my exhaust not my bike. I still keep asking about it. I was ready for Daytona w/ cooter & every1 else. I actually had my bike in a show bone stock just the exhaust & pulled 173. No BMW or pc installed yet. Idk what 2 do know. I want to clean up the exhaust. I definitely had the most power 2nd to a new 14r who put out 198 brand new bought b4 she went on the dyno. I had every1 running & looking. Man I love her. Now I have to figure out what to do.
I'm so hurt emotionally & figuratively. W/ my pops being state trooper I kept apologizing saying I didn't want to b a statistic. I'm just hurt about my exhaust. My buddy rode it home & wants to get rid of his full Akron for the cannon. I'm starting my case w/ a layer. Loss of skin. I have to do short term disability not to mention "my exhaust" there is no other as the cannon, I will post pics as I am to get out of here today. But guys plz give me any info or comments would b nice.
At the dyno I actually had a guy wanting to chose a cannon over a Brock's. I think I have the only cannon on the east coast. I'm bummed. Can't meet up & let u hear the best thing known to the 14. My bud Kevin was tellin me how he loved jumping on the throttle. Dam typing this ingot 10 Mg's of perk users, and starting to miss my exhaust. It's not th same jumping up to hear her. I take pridec& joy in hearing her.

I am so sorry about this elroy. This sucks so bad. Those details you add just make me ache. I feel ya bro. This is a bad one. I can tell you love that pipe and I'm smilin thinking you got this awesome bike to go with the pipe of your dreams!! hhah.

hang on and get yourself back to walking and then think about the rebuild. These things often lead to a lot of really cool mods. This bike might end up totally different than it was before the crash.

You thinking about suing? I would certainly say you have some damages. Go to town if you are confident you have evidence to support your case. let the lawyer do his thing and just rest back.

65% of your skin, dude? owwwww. You have a lot of healing to do but hang in there. This is gonna be a process but you will see as time goes by you will be encouraged by the progress.

^^^ AWESOME, dude!

I would try long Beach Motor Sports for Tsukigi parts. They might be able to hook you up with an emblem they sell the Cannon.

LBMS were the folks that came up when I googled "Tsukigi dealer." May be others, IDK. I think maybe HPC where I ordered my Cannon was in kahuts with LBMS---maybe. I remeber thenm telling me they had to order my silencer for the busa Cannon from Japan and that it would arrive first in Cali and they may have mentioned LBMS. So, given the rarity of the Cannon, LBMS may just be about the only place to buy a new Tsukigi in the US??? Good question.

If you were looking for deacls I would just visit a local vinyl letter sign shop. They're all over in any larger metro area. They'll prolly copy a logo right off thenet and make some up pretty cheap for ya. Been thinking about getting a couple for my lowers like what I have in the first pic I posted on your thread here. That is a photo retouch I did with Ps and Ai on my Mac.

Wholly crap you and your bike are way more messed up than I thought but you’re alive and that’s what counts and I will get to hear your exhaust once you get your bike fixed back up! And did anyone get pictures of the crash site? If so that can help in your case and I’m glad you had your gear on!!!!!!! It definitely saved your life! I decided not to go to Daytona this year after finding out I owe $1,000 in taxes! And I need a new front tire and breaks but I knew that. Heal up bro we are here for ya!
