Looks like the Panigali has some pretty major smoking issues. If you are in interested, google it. Could be bad.

RE: Honda Gets Knocked Off of the Throne and Kawasaki's Honor is Restored!

Heathun, very few I am sure. Not sure of an actual number, but maybe 1 in 1,000 owners. I just find it very odd, and I am being kind, so using the word odd, not pathetic, or worse. That ducati uses such an inferior engine, they have to build a bike with an extra 200cc of displacement, to compete. Then tries to brag about it. I ride a 125 dirt bike sometimes. So cannot race a bike 200cc less than me. But let's say I rode a 300 cc dirt bike, and I raced a 100. No way afterwards would I be bragging about a win. Duh

Yup, I read an article by their chief engineer on the project and he claims that two cylinders is superior to an in-line four. I guess if you don't have to stay within the 1000 cc displacement limit, he might be right. Harley and Ducati never have to play by the same rules as everyone else. Why not just let them have 1400 or maybe 1500 cc?

I Googled and they do seem to be blowing blue white smoke on startup. Could be the decompression valve. I hear they're burning a lot of oil ala Honda's '08 CBR 1000RR. Could be an oil control problem with those huge pistons.
