Well Busa...it's not a very difficult procedure...I never heated the driver tips when I did mine...only got the throttlebodies warmed a bit.Didn't use the JIS on my first go round with my 07.And yes...that right outboard screw head stripped(ouch).Had to dremel that screw head off..coated the stack with grease and got a rag down in there before I dremeled it.It worked okay...but not how you want it go.My 2012..I used the JIS...no prep...just went in there and nailed em...they all came free pretty easily...surprised me actually...I didn't expect em to break free like that.Like Hub said...that angle on the outboard ones...that's the iffy one without the right driver....but they're all very doable if ya just keep strong pressure on em and turn VERY slowly to keep the bite contact.
You might get a shade of throttle response increase...but,perhaps a flash would be the ideal way to go for ya...get em opening up MUCH sooner...After doing a few of these..I decided to leave em in on my 2013...they do actuate at different throttle positions to smooth the response...which is one BIG reason I love this monster...the ride quality. My flash gives extremely good response in every rpm range and gear...yet the driveability is dead on....I have always noticed a small loss of smoothness by taking those secondaries out.Not bad....but noticeable.
