I believe it takes a bit more strength and finnesse to really carve on a 14, If your under 180 lbs or under 5-10 ", the 14 might not be appealing. Where do u guys fit into these weight and height limits. Im 215 lbs, dry, at 6 ft 2, plus insurance

When I sold my Busa, Craigslist was a bunch of scammers.
I finally sold it on Cycle trader, I think it took 2 weeks.

Right out of the shower, today I weighed 120.7 lbs. I am 5'5" barefoot. closing in on 79 yrs..
I have 1 3/4 inch bar risers which give just enough forward lean to feel comfortable .. I have not sat upright on a bike in a long time..
I have lowered my ZX14 front and rear by almost 2 inches. and taken a few lbs off, mainly exhaust. I have

I'm 47, 6'-0" and 160 lbs, and the big ZX is pretty comfortable for me. I do have the little Helibar risers, but I don't think they make a huge difference, maybe a little.

I rode my buddy's Concours, and I felt like that sat too upright. I think my body is more comfortable with some forward lean. I could see where a guy with a big gut may not like that much weight on his wrists, and sometimes mine even get tired, but it works pretty well for me.

I am 5'8" and 142 lb. I feel pretty comfortable and reasonably OK on carving ZX14R. I installed 1.25" bar riser and adjustable foot pegs. It is true bigger guys may be able to handle ZX better, though.

What type of adjustable foot pegs do you have. I am looking for some for my ZX14R.

I am 'old' and I think this is the best motorcycle I have ever owned. I have owned a few, and I liked them all, but I would not trade the ZX14R for any of them.

6'3" 190lbs
Fits me perfectly and the "normal" sized bikes feel much too small and cramped to me. If you saw my trackday thread you know I can carve pretty damn well on it.

190/55 is overrated. 200/55 is where it is at.

5'10" 215 strait out the shower. I bet majority of us are 50+, I'm 55. We aren't kids, we don't want kid bikes. Well maybe for short rides. I don't want to ride fun twisty roads for a couple hours, I want to ride fun twisty roads all weekend and be able to go back to work on Monday with perma grin. To me the 14 is mature with a hidden animal waiting the be let out.

I use this adjustable foot pegs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Multi-Step-Position-Adjustable-Foot-Pegs-FRONT-KAWASAKI-NINJA-ZX14R-2012-2014-/281930548068?var=&hash=item41a45ec364:m:mgvJHTVn6kbbuUh03sCX3aA&vxp=mtr

I worried about the quality but so far no issues. It is approximately 1" lower than OEM and makes a big difference.

OldMan - Do the lower pegs cause your toe to touch the ground sooner?

Hi Extrapolator,

"Do the lower pegs cause your toe to touch the ground sooner?" No, actually not. My riding style is not aggressive and 1" lower pegs don't affect anything but the pressure to back of my knees. Long freeway riding is much easier now.

I found selling a 14R to be an obnoxious, pain in my ass.

It's one of the greatest sportbikes ever made but too many people prefer literbikes.

I always thought that the Motorcycle Industry should have setup a 2-year lease program. For many Riders that want a new Bike every year or two, a program like cars, would work.
BMW has a 3 yr lease program, unlimited miiles, on new motorcycles. I was at the Dealer when all the 2013 R1200RT came back. One of the Bikes had 66,000 miles.

I actually miss my 14R in its stock configuration. Wishing I had one for drag and one for zipping around in silence like a true Ninja. Oh I'm 180lbs unsuited currently.

The thing I notice mostly is the pegs on this bike. Use that Cycleergo and pus the pegs back around 1-2" and up slightly maybe .5-1" (just tinker with it a little) It brings the the thigh more square to the torso. It's not that it's horrible stock, it just doesn't make sense.

Most of it is the economy. Bike market is in the crapper with the US economy. Most people don't have 10Gs on hand to spend anymore.....and if they do they hold on to it. I always sell bikes on EBay...they can pay with credit cards and PayPal easier....and this time of year is tough vs March-June
