I'd be more afraid mechanic didn't leave it loose but actually damaged/stripped the threads out. I'd definitely look at this carefully during the off season. It's not uncommon for a bolt to thread even though it's really strippped out. Next thing you know you hear another pop but this time your 50 miles away. IIRC torque is around 115 in lbs for 14Rs... not much room to play for hand tightening.

The only time I used anti seize on a plug I think was on my 660 Raptor. Went to change the plug and found that it had been loose. When I was backing it out it started to feel like it was gaulling. Don't give me shit about my spelling. Didn't want to chase the threads with a tap without pulling the head so used anti seize to run the new plug in. New plugs have a crush washer so I run in then tighten 1/4 turn. I agree with the dry verse lubed. Aluminum threads can fail even if you are being careful not to over torque.
