Wow, very nice Rook! Thanks for the well wish, soon to be 3 major back surgeries in 9 months has me pretty bummed. but hopefully it will fix the partial paralysis I have in my left foot so I can ride without shifting with my heal.
I just love those tires, looks like lots of rubber to contact the road. please update as they wear as I am very curious to see if they hold up or are they strictly a soft compound tire?
A little honesty here, not a big Busa fan, BUT, yours looks pretty good and sounds ASSUME. Also I like your body positioning while negotiating some of those corners, very nice.
I was able to get the turbo bike out for a surprise ride yesterday. I put my boots on to see if I could shift with my heal, rode around the block and all was well. Rode to my ridin buddies house just to talk and he invited me on a short ride on some lonesome roads in North Texas. Turned out to be a lot of fun. Had some shifting issues but as long as I made a positive shift then rolled the throttle I was good to go...
Take care buddy and let me know how you like the suspension.

It may be that the Power Ones need ti be heated up A LOT before they start to stick really good. Same goes for Q2s, perhaps. I've heard that track tires might not necessarily offer the optimum traction at normal street riding temps. If the rubber is soft at street temps, it might be grease at track temps. ...at least that was what I heard or something like that. A lot of track riders love Michelin tires. That is a very popular brand.

6000 miles, Gheez Rook, I wish I could get 6000 miles out of a rear tire. Must be these North Texas roads, grin. I did notice something that is really hard on the tires. I changed my riding style to where I am downshifting and using the engine to brake when entering turns. Some of the turns are really fast sweepers. So 6th gear coming in, downshift before lean angle, give her a little blip to keep the bike stable. Lean in, smooth throttle, power out with a little clutch if not in boost. That downshift kills the life of the tire, so much so that I had to stop doing it..can't wait to give those Pirelli's a try. Keep us updated.

Noticed a soft black film on the chin of the busa lowers...right behind the front tire. I don't recall seeing that before. Looked like grease but nope, pretty sure it was rubber.
