I'm hoping to arrive into the area by around 2.00ish in the afternoon with Wolf and Fazer.
Check in to our hotel and take a nap, then be up and rambunctious around 5:00. Unload the bikes and scope out the scene. Anyone familiar with the area that could recommend lodgings, place to eat and a place to see some local talent?

Closer is not quite what Beastie was asking. Are folks going to arrive Friday? Where will we meet and when. For example are we meeting up at a local bar, (what time where)? What time do we meet to break out for a ride on Saturday, and how long do we plan to rip. Inquiring green horns to this event want to know!?

Aug 2nd is too far away for anything that concrete. Not to mention we few seem to be the only ones arriving friday, Sebby and the westerners will be there too, but he is not sure exactly where. I was going to touch base with him friday morning and wing it from there. So its kind of hard to lay everything out exactly. Unless we just pick a spot and say here. Here is where we start. Here is where we end friday night. Then just wing saturday. There are three requirements for the landing spot. 1.within walking distance of a watering hole, or watering hole is contained in the resting area. 2. Entertainment is within walking distance of watering hole, and or rest area. 3. Enough bath towels for Wolfies wardrobe and or his selfies.

The area around, particularly south of west point academy should meet the requirements for entertainment, and there are a few landing spots to choose from. It would be a short ride from there to bear mtn saturday morning.

We need an experienced guide from this area!

Im looking at getting there friday and leaving sunday. Exact times depend on the above.

Newburgh NY has an awesome area by the water that has a few good places to eat drink and what have you. The town itself is not so great. But you could always stay in a near by town and drive a short distence. Message black1 . he lives accross the river from there and can offer better suggestiions.

I plan to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday. Rest a day and then play hard all weekend.

Yeah, I will be there mid week prior as well. I'd like to get some riding in the area first. Feel out the lay of the land and enjoy the new roads. This is gonna be epic. I am gonna tour across the US with what I can reasonably fit with very little storage. I'm going hardcore minimalist SPORT touring. :)) I'm getting pumped. Priscilla looks ready.

Sorry to say it, but I am out for Bear Mountain ride.
