You just spray the whole emblem and area around the emblem, use a toothpick or something similar to create a border around the emblems. Then you peel away the plastidip that is sprayed onto the paint, pulls right off if you put in on thick enough. You really can't hurt anything, the stuff comes right off if you mess up.

Plastidip is fun stuff! I've had it on my truck's rims through two winters, i'm going to redo it because the salt caused it to crack in a few places.

I'll make sure to snap more pictures when I paint the tank emblems.

Hey Rook,

Here is a Youtube video I found before. I have my can of plastidip waiting to go for warmer weather, just like Bugablue...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FchIWF8Vi2Y

youtube DipYourCarCom... that guy has some GREAT vids on this shhhtuff :)

Bugablue... thanks for the info man... great stuff. I wanted black pipes too, but didnt want anything too loud or CF, I heard a lot of people say they yellow bad, needed repacked every couple years, and get brittle and can easily be cracked. So I went with Akrapovic headers and dual Yosh R-77 can.

I only live 10 miles from Brocks and REALLY wanted the CT Duals but am too much of a tight a$$ to come off of $2300... sigh

Another 2 questions for you Bugablue... what is that emblem on the back of your seat cowl? and the red cap on the right side of your bike?

The emblem on the seat cowl is from the dealership, just a fox insignia, not sure why i choose not to remove it. The red cap is for the battery tender connector, i had just pulled it off the tender and didn't tuck it up under the fairing.

Really cool bike, Bugablue!
Nice details here and there.
What's that windshield - who is manufacturer and what type?
Looks somehow more "touring" style...

The windshield is an MRA doublebubble, it's my most touring oriented screen. I'll throw my ZG DB on when the temps get a little higher.

That looks good! Been thinking about throwing some plastidip on the bottom of my OEM windscreen, not sure how it would turnout though... My goal would be to have something that looks similar to that black MRA screen.

Carabuser - you edited yr name recently???

I see what you've done there lol

Call me slow but understand yr name now :D

Plastidip is on my radar - want to get rid of the "transformers" style graphics next to the candy green ribs

Black or blacker is my preference but the green is growing on me so will leave that for a nice contrast
