It just dawned on me, from the age I am seeing, makes me wonder if we are like the folks that do not drive a 'Vete until later in life. They have to wait to be able to afford it. I know for me, it was just the next logical step in my string of bike to buy a 14. Definitely not one of the cheapest bike to buy, but not sure that is terribly expensive.

The pain induced from the ZX10 before the 14 was my deciding factor. Not ready for a rolling couch yet.

How about you?

All my life I have had naked bikes and usually multitudes of at one time. I never liked the plastic torpedo look but in December of 2004 I bought a KGT12 beemer and kinda liked it. Few years later I saw a used 2008 ZX14 that just caught my eye but knew I was to old and fat to enjoy it so for some stupid reason I sold the beemer and got the 14 then spent another grand making the bike into an old mans cruiser. I then set up my ZRX1100 to be my everyday cruiser and trip bike because I thought I liked the naked better for cruising but missed the beemer so I bought a 2009 K1300GT and sold the 1100.
The only bikes I seem to ide now are the beemer and 14. My 2 stretched out ZRX's and Honda 919 sit and go nowhere.

I am getting old..............

This is not fair, it seems each time I participate in these polls I have to add another number.

I'm surprised at the average age. I would have thought most owners were between 25 - 40 not 40 - 60.
At least the ones that are fessin' up .

I turned 40 this past February, and I hate to say it, but I feel it.

I don't get much of a chance to ride anymore forget about going to the track.

I've had more fun in the past.

since when is 31-40 middle aged?!???!? how old is the OP here!?? LMAO

additionally. for sake of statistical argument, your asking people who signed up and ride one now... i know my bike appeals to many of the riders i ride with, and for some would be a first choice if they could afford it. but cost of insurance alone can be exremely cost prohibitive for "young" riders based on the engine size alone.

when in doubt, slow down. no one ever hit something by going too slow.

That sucks down here in Florida you don’t need insurance if you were a helmet funny hu? And don’t need a helmet if you have $100,000 medical insurance.

36 here.
Cops here think they're pulling over some kid, but then the helmet comes off and they see a man staring them straight in the eyes and their face always loosens up. lol Everyone's 16 with their helmets on!

Wow!! You would think this bike isn't the right bike for an older guy, but I can't tell. I'm 29 and feel like I'm 19. I hope to live long enough to ride when I turn 50. Keep up the good work fellas.

The 14 is perfect for me at age 65, but I'm probably not typical [understatement]. I'm just now getting into track riding on a dedicated track bike (not the 14), and am fascinated by the process of learning to go fast around a racetrack. All this excitement may disappear after my first fall -- I dunno. -bg

Sorry bg! not though LOL if it's in yer blood at your age bg it wont change a thing if you fall providing it's not as bad as my injury !hopefully you don't have one though as it has changed my life in so many ways & If I could click my fingers to pass 1 year right now ! I would to ride the best bike i,ve ever owned and injoy the social life style it provides ! when you say your not typical & thats an understatement ! makes me think that is "VERY COMMEN with all high performance bikes & riders" as for me im only physicaly older but the same sort of ?? as when I first started to ride
