Just great!Very cool write up.Yes...I for the life of me can't understand WHY Kawasaki didn't get the transmission shifting quality like the Suzuki.Amazes me!They would have a TOTAL winner if they could just get that right!!!I LOVED the Busa's shifting quality-upshifts,clutchless-downshifts-smooth as glass. You be safe on yer new rocket.I didn't feel as secure on my buddy's Busa at higher speeds in the curves-but suspension adjustments probably would have changed that.Great bike!Ride safe now!(yes, the vibes-noticeable).Sometime-I may make a trade in-??????????????????Who knows. My 14's an awesome bike-way happy with er!!!

It would have to be a mighty good trade in before i would let go of the 14. I didn't even ask. I only reminded the stealer of the fact that they were not receiving a trade in which made it a better sale for them.

The busa has a way of feeling slower than it really is....that aspect drove me nuts on mine, nuts enough to buy a 14 After some mods I corrected that prob, but its just a trait of these big engines to make crazy acceleration seem almost sane

^^Now I know. I set out to do an initial 3.5K - 6.6K burst at half throttle in second gear and it was over 8K before I realized it. It just didn't feel like it was turning that hard. The 14 feels more aggressive at 3 K than the busa does at 6K. You almost don't know the busa engine is there, your just going really fast.

Congratulations!

Cornering, the busa feels extremely good considering it is noticeably heavier at a standstill.

My brother has a Busa and it feels alot heavier even thought its actually only 5 pounds heavier, and he changed to full Brock's AH exhaust which is supposed to save like 33 pounds or something and it still feels a bit heavier... strange. It must just be the height position of the weight or something.

Heat. Didn't notice it from the busa.

The Busa doesn't run as hot as the 14 because it has dual fans... why wouldn't Kawasaki do that? they did it to the Concours but left one out on the 14.

There's little things i notice are better on each bike but over all there both very similar. And i noticed i think the speedometer on the Busa reads alot faster that the 14, there's no telling which is more accurate without speedohealers.

When I bought the 14 I was back and forth between it and a brand new Busa. I read all of the magazine comparos and shootouts and was kind of leaning towards the Suzuki. Then I rode it. I knew right away that the ergos just wouldn't work. I have a little bit of a neck issue courtesy of a brutal highside 25 years ago on my H2, and the Busa's position killed me within a few miles. Unfortunately, this has kept me off of other sportbikes as well. I would love to own a literbike but just can't stay on them for too long. Part of me still yearns for the big gixxer but I sure do love the 14.

As for your plastics, you may have already solved the problem and may already know this product but Novus makes a 3 part polish that is pretty kickass. You start with the most abrasive and work down to the last, which is sort of like Plexus or Brillianize. If you're patient it really works.

And your new ride is sweet. Makes me jealous and makes me curse that H2 over and over. H2 The Widowmaker!

^^^I don't know- by the speed of the other traffic it doesn't look like he is topping out the speedo. I suspect he has done a simple sprocket change and the tach jump was just him pulling the clutch.

I would like to see some vid taken from off the bike.

Those wheels on the side with the belt are pretty convincing though. Yeah, I'll do that if I have the $$$$$ Maybe??

OK- speedo is reacting. He's not just pulling the clutch.

Ghostrider is awesome. I've seen all those vids and i could watch them all a hundred times more.

I think when you have that kind of boost, you need everything you can get to keep the front down. I bet that's why ghostrider is running with no fairing except that little plate on top of the forks.

Mmm. I have watched the link and when I do 280 kmh+ on my bike, the poles and cars disappear a hell of a lot quicker than on the video. My speedo also doesn't drop down as quick when I roll off. Unless of course all of the cars in wherever the video is made all ride around at 160 kmh+. No doubt the bike goes like anything, but just looks strange.

^^I thought the same thing about the speed of the other traffic. I bet he just has a sprocket change. The supercharger might be on a different bike than the one he owns and is riding or maybe it's a fake supercharger. That guy totally looks like the poser type.

Can you dig those muscles, Rook? Guy should be on a Harley. No, not on me!!! The bike! Yeah, sprocket change makes sense. Speed just doesn't look real. Some mothers children!!
By the way, I wish I could have the new Busa in my garage as well, but in SA they are about 19K dollar equivalent. Maybe a bit more for a genuine Suzuki import.

Ya- here's what I'm getting from those pics:

A young guy who has enough money to buy a busa and possibly supercharge it and buy steroids and is involved with music in some way and still has enough time to develop a body like that and for some reason mocks his own mother's death???????????? ( That closing was kind of creepy.) Most guys would need to pick one or at the most, two of those preoccupations. I know that's what I had to do and that was all I had time for. I'm thinking ungrateful heir or possible drug dealer. I can't say anything for certain of course but that dude seems like a real dirtbag. Or perhaps there is more fake about the vid than the supercharger. It may be all one big put on and this dude is sitting back laughing. What ever the case may be, I don't care much for him.

nice bike though, real supercharger or not.
