Hey Uncle C was she roomy enough to accommodate a six foot three gorilla like your bro over here?
Zx64man did you wheelie that z1000 all day, share some notes what was the ole gen z1000 like. Is it a worthwhile purchase. I just want on to hooligan out, wheelies and burns. How would she fair for these duties.

Hahahahaha! Yup! Me likes a good dumper!
As for fit, I think you would like it, felt to me like like my feet were lower and slightly more forward and my back was more straight upright. Nice and roomy with good leverage on the bars. I felt like I wanted to start the relationship off with a 360 burnout.

I read up also on this bike....unfortunately...it seems to have a noticeable buzziness at particular rpms...that's not good...IMO.But it's a killer looking bike and probably lots of fun to ride;)After riding a 14....nothing even comes close(for me)in the smoothness/comfort area.Power delivery is just so hard to overlook.

Nice looking bike. That's what I tested (13'model) before deciding on the ninja 1000 with fairings.Looks like they've redone the fender to make it easier for a fender eliminator.I know mine was a PITA getting my eliminator installed.I've also put some handle bar risers that raise them about an inch for an even more upright position.

The fenders are huge and ugly. There was nothing to the fender eliminator on my 14 but like I said, this one was a pain but looks like they've made it easier to rid.I think there is a law that you must have your license plate lit but don't know about the reflectors and what not.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the plate, light, and reflectors being a certain height off the ground. to make a happy medium for cars AND trucks to be able to see you when behind.

Thats only half of the law behind these, they must provide a certain amount of shielding to the vehicles behind from debris. Now how they go about it with some of the fenders I have seen is beyond me.

Hey C 360 Burnout off the show room platform - now you talking Hahahahaha! I am worried about the buzz and of course about the neutered power but I think since my fourteen I forgot the basic principles for a great hooligan bike!
1) Light weight
2) high torque and power
3) naked and mean looking
4) flickable and easy the thrash
Given the above it may only win on looks and that's a 1 out of 4. Still want her in my bed though!

i have a 2012 z.. same motor as the 2014 i believe. mine dynod at 140hp to the wheel and thats with a full muzzy exhaust/bazzaz/k&n filter. its a light bike compared to the 14r but it holds its own for sure. not slow by any means. i rember reading a post of one guy taking the 2010-13 model into the high 9's with just slip ons if i rember correctly. stock bike. he was like 150lbs also.
