Howdy Romes,
Got Akra's and PC5's coming hoping to see em end of this or beginning of next week! Big thanks to Beast for oiling that process - thanks Beast! So wondering if openning up valves (ecu reflash 100%) might squeezzzze some more ponies to lick that sexy BM. You suggested I not pull out the secondaries - and just reflash! Is this still your recommendation my friend (king of speed)?
And yah that BM is a missile in the hands of BEASTMAN!

Just an awesome cool bike BEAST! Watched the vid of acceleration, hey wolf, I know how to beat it! See how when it grabs the next gear it only drops back about 1200 rpm. That speaks to that short primary gearing. If you want to beat that and not change gearing, just have your RPM limit raised 500 rpm, that way when you shift at redline, your 14r will drop to the meat of its powerband. Have your secondary flies fully opened at 3400 rpm, copy the full power map over the safety map. then no matter how hard you launch you will get full boogie full stomp. Keep your right hand cranked hard to the stop and only shift when you hear the bike bang the limiter, slight upward pressure on that shift lever and when ur bike bangs the limiter your foot pressure will grab next gear fast! Carefull of the first to second shift if you use this method, don't want to miss a shift or bend a shift fork. But, the r will lay fing waste! That Beemer is sic! I wish I was there ridin with y'all!

C you are Godly!!! My boy removed the ecu cut out near 300 I wonder if the rev limiter is still active? This is now homework and as a good student I plan to do it! C I totally plan on a good wholesome tussle down west when I see you. The bike nights here are pretty tame, but Toronto is Toronto and you never know! Anyways a good fist to cuff is a real pleasemt way to set the tone for a great evening. I try not to phuck anyone up so much that they can't ride home. LOL in my old age I should wish for the same! I think though your a recking machine so I truly see us getting into something!
As for the RPM throttle control and smart gearing - I am going to practice that homeboy. I think Beast has a killer quick shifter too. Lol I am just happy to keep up!

Yes, just before you go to the Dyno we will add a bit more timing and have the plates fully open at 3200. I could do it now but I would feel better if you were mapped for it. I have the maps, but you need PCV. Adding the fuel into the ECU is not a exact science with out the ability to data log. AFR rules the play ground here. Not to worry we fix.
Afterwards gearing will be needed if your going to keep doing roll ons with 160 lb jockeys. Then you got him. Sorry beast but we Can't have A BMW out front.
copy the full power map over the safety map. then no matter how hard you launch you will get full boogie full stomp.
Shhhh, we saving that map button for the Sneaky Pete NOS bottle going under the seat. Can't win fair Cheat me tinks ?

Romans! You got it! And I bet 3200 is better, the sooner the better with them puppies right? I like that nos map idea! Never thunk of that! :)) muzzy did an R up for a customer with NOS and pulled 246hp and I think around 138-140 for torque! Said he only added the 40 shot nozzle and got more like 51hp out of it. Ram air effect at speed. I think you should be able to just tell the ecu to kill the pair valve and it will stop cycling too right?

Dude wolf your killin us. I've raced so far on my 14r a gen2 busa a gsxr1000 a zx10r and a cbr1000 and don't forget the 2 bmw 1000rrs and none of them kept up AT ALL. Expect the bmw 1000rrs and the busa did pretty good but was overall beaten solidly. If your having trouble killing a 1300 bmw it's time to sell your bike or lose that weight son!!!!!! Don't tell me how much power and midrange it has either. Look at any power chart........it's not there in power compared to the 1441cc bike. It's the rider that's losing not the 14r.......trust me.

I was stretching out on the 14 last night and made the same discovery. I watched Romes light up a few of us on the 14 stocker. That's when I realized something. It's not the bike, it's my launch skills. With this in mind, and some 240lbs, I gave it a mad rippa last night. I realized, yah, it is the pilot. I started to reel in the BMW like Romes stated earlier, "here kitty, kitty." So I spent most of the night rolling on and realized I' have been holding back.
I have always said, on here it is the pilot that wins the day, and you are 100percento correct on the above post.
Now all this said, my Boy Beast is a HELL of a pilot, and he has some impressive launch skills. And his bike is deceptively fast. But yah, the 14r is tops.
Green love baby,

It's nice to see our little Igloo Nation thread is drawing so much American attention. Welcome...
Yah it's a skill I am honing. But straight line roll on's and launches are basic playground atonements. Twisties and track days are areas where I feel like I have an edge. That said, my boy Dave 905 would ride the pants off me!
