The new CBR 1000 is a beauty. Hub was right to "sing" about it. It's got that pearly white color, really tastefully done. Modern and classic at the same time. I like the way it seats high, compact and light, showa forks, showa balance free shock. NICE. The only thing is that I can't afford it. Too expensive for a track bike. After watching the video I posted about new v.s used track bikes, I have decided to buy used, probably 2008 up. There is this CBR with 500 miles I have my eyes on!

Memories, going to the Dream Theater on the Monterey (CA) wharf, laying on a deeply carpeted floor with big pillows to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show while it was becoming a cult classic. Back then we could whip out our Bick lighters for "theres a light...." sections, and said all the lines in sync with the movie (the whole audience).

Which is what I feel like everytime someone wheezes about how extra special wonderful their 2012 ZX14 is.

Especially since at the drag strip or in my mountains, my "old" ZX14 would eat one alive.

Slow is a good dragster, bring one of those 2012s to the Hagerstown 1/4 mile (yes, we have a real 1/4 mile drag strip in little old Hagerstown, and a real 1/2 mile clay oval - one of the few left) and let Slow run mine and the 2012.

Though once you hang CT-Duals and a piggy off a 2012 it will be faster than mine. I'm talking 2012 oem stock at the engine, or only slipons.

The old ones are lighter too. According to the spec sheets, anyway.

R for rain comes down on your pee raid!

Slowhen you think about buying liter and it comes down in buckets, who is the heavier weight on the water drop, as I drop you off one at a time to your home run you are not on the fun bike. R for really ride it home. Ride your ass IS more like it!
